Placing the super market on the edge of town makes better sense. It's idiotic having a super market in the middle of a town. You get caught in traffic coming in to and out of the supermarket. Placing it on the outskirts of the city you avoid town traffic and you can get in and out of the supermarket quickly and on to a main road in seconds.
