Looks like it's a fight for the fouth seat on transfers and I'm afraid that I think Davy Walsh will get it by about 25 votes.

John Cummins in with a good shout in the South. If they managed the vote and Mary O'Halloran will transfer into him.

Thanks for the counts, I'm in the dark here in Dublin. Everyone is in the count centre and I can't get through to them. I'm quite pleased with that

I'm absolutely shocked with Cullinanes poll. Going to be interesting to see how everything works out down there...

Willie Moore will have hit Cullinane hard he does a hell of a lot of community work in the ballybeg area.

Looking at those results it looks like (my own opinion) in addition to those elected:

City North: Walsh, Roche

City South: Cullinane, Cummins, Moore

City East: Cunningham, Darcy, Wyse, Roche

Last seat is too close to call in each ward, Should be an interesting night.

I think it's too early to really predict where transfers in subsequent counts will go. Traditionally I would say that Kelly would struggle for transfers given that there'll be a lot of transfers to be distributed from Fianna Fail candidates. I'd imagine Hayes will benefit greatly from Tobins elimination. It really is all to play for.

Must say Tom Cunningham handled himself very well on the radio there. The issue of the pact was brought up and he said that he expected it to continue. Liz Reddy proposed that surely a vote of 1400 to John Halligan would mean that he should be considered for the role of mayor. Tom agreed, in a sense, but suspected that John would now be able to contribute more positively to the decisions of the Council now that he's not limited by the narrow focus of a party like the Workers Party. So in a few sentences he gave a relatively good explanation for the existence of the pact, took a pot-shot at the Workers Party and made a public appeal for John to join the pact!
