I did. I always do. I've really no idea why though.
I just pick the three or four I want to see elected and then just throw numbers at everyone else.
I made sure Libertas got the lowest number for Europe though.

Yip that's what I did picked my top 3 and as long as FF were the last numbers I didn't really care about the others.

I pretty much filled in both cards leaving FF/Greens with no selections. Libertas got my 1st in the europeans. They are the only ones* who would like to see expenses published for MEP;s.

*Given Mary Lou's €270,000 euro expenses and her 50% attendance rate I couldnt bring myself to consider her.

Can you imagine meeting someone who has a job where the expenses (not salary just expenses) are in he 1/4 of a million euros ballpark?

Only turnin up for work 2 days most weeks and 3 days per week if you were lucky ? SF were among the only ones in Ireland to publish their mep expenses - fair play to them for that but my 1st preference went to Libertas.

Sinn Fein MEP Mary Lou McDonald revealed she had claimed €273,470 last year.
Labour's Proinsias De Rossa revealed on his website that he had claimed more than €357,720.
And he was joined by Independent MEP, Marian Harkin, who revealed on her website that she had claimed €350,512.

Party loyalties aside, I vote for those that appear to share the views that I do, then I stop. No point in having a vote transfer to a candidate that I do not feel represents my interests.

I made it to 5 for the European candidates and to 2 for the locals.

I found that I'd never heard of most of the local candidates (ward boundary shift recently) so I just voted for the 2 I knew that have done decent work locally in the last few years.

I do the same. I've always been confused as to whether you're supposed to or not though.

Alot of people say that you're only meant to chose your favorites and then rank them accordingly, leaving the others blank

By filling out the whole sheet, it's probably giving the others a better chance unwillingly :pac:

True. If Boards was anything to go by, in two separate polls (this one and one in Politics), Sinn Féin would be the 3rd largest party in the 26 counties.
