Hi all i am neew to this site but find it very useful did my ist a few days ago found it though enough but fingers crossed just wait for the postman

but someone told me that 8000 - 10000 are sitting/sat the ist test are they are only looking 480 jobs?

far as i know your not too far wrong.

i did my ist on the second day and the numbers on the wall went up to about 9500 i think

was reading in the daily mirror today, 9,825 applications received, 38%, (3,734) were from Catholic applicants and 30% (2,987) were from women.

and theres 440 posts available

Wouldnt have a clue, this is me first time at the IST, just gonna give it my best shot...higher score the better

il give you a bit of advice, bring a watch or something to keep track of time because that is the killer

so i believe, and the fact that i like to stare out windows when doing exams isnt going to help the situation either oops

That could have just meant the difference between a pass and a fail for u, be thankful ! haha !

The pass mark changes every year. Its around 50 though.

Anyone expecting their IST result tomorrow? Only did mine last week so still have quite a wait. Best of luck to anyone who is lying in wait for the postman tomorrow. Let us know what the pass mark is.

Hi mhairt. When I got my letter last year they just said I had passed and was progressing to the next stage. Didnt actually state in the letter what the pass mark was. So I hadnt a clue....

Its unlikely there will be any post tomorrow. I have developed the term 'No Post Monday'. Anything posted first class on Friday would almost always arrive on Saturday. I guess there is a slim chance of post tomorrow, but I wouldnt hold my breath (or i'd die).

Speaking of post....where the hell are bc84's and my medical results???

im not holding my breath on a pass anyway, seeing as lou passed and heard within 3 days and we are currently on day 9, i'd say it aint looking too hot for us
