The "What's That Song" Thread [ PLEASE READ ]

Due to a overwhelming litter of Song ID threads cluttering the forum.. from August 13th 2006, the forum now has a new policy on this.

Everything related to a song ID HAS to be posted in this thread and this thread only.

Any "what's that song" type posts made outside of this thread will be deleted without hesitation.

And also would like to avoid any real discussion in the thread besides requests for a song ID, identification of a song and acknowledge / thanks for the ID. Not really a strict policy on this but if i see a discussion going on for 10 posts about how great a particular song is or something to that effect, i will delete it due to simply cluttering up the thread.

Anyone know a tune played during this evenings RTE's 6 nations programme. It was played just before the programme finished up. It was the part which showed clips of Irelands previous games on their final journey to Cardiff. Class piece of music if anyone knows it.

I can only remember the video...its of two blokes and one has long hair and they are singin a song (streets of philidelphia, save tonight kind of feel) outside in some american city i would say and one is playing an acoustic, i just cant remember the tune at the mo to even get some lyrics!

The song is called 'The Look of Love' written by Burt Bacharach. It's been covered by many many people over the years. Don't know who sings the version you've linked to. You could search YouTube. Kinda sounds like Andrea Corr.

Bit of a long shot but does anyone know the first song that was played at the meteors when Pat Kenny was presenting the lifetime achievement award or something to Father Shay Cullen. It was a piano song, mainly chords at the start but I think it started picking up with arpeggios towards the end. Not too sure if there was singing or not!

It was shown during the time of the olympics....its an american advert I was there at the time so I realises this is very unlikey to be found but it was a rock tune and I remember hearing it on mtv2 about two years ago!!!!thanks!!!Thats all i can remember.
