Adyx wrote: » Yes it is. Where are the bands on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Ruby's Lounge coming from? Muldoon's. Which is now closed on Mondays and Tuesdays to force people into that s**t hole. Muldoon's may be crap too but it's a much better option for live music.

The only thing I would say is - relating to the alleged posers in Geoffs, wasn't the fact that Geoffs welcomed everyone from well dressed posers to not-so-bothered rockers and grungers what made it special? A kind of all embracing place.

All things considered it's the best pub in Waterford (since Downses closed half the pub). Waterford has hardly any decent pubs left since the Rogue changed the name and became a ****hole, Egans closed down, the Stand closed down, etc. Of course the place is popular. I never encountered a superior attitude in there, then again, I'm one of those people who might go in earlier, order a coffee and read a book, so maybe that makes me one of the so-called 'superior' Geoffs set... I've only ever found the place comfortable, the music good, the staff sound -- albeit a bit image conscious -- and so on. They have a great set-up in there.

No doubting its a good pub but the complete lack of respect for customers by having them use those toilets is disgraceful. Lack of comeptetion allows places to get away with appalaing standards such as those toilets. In fairness it's not like they cant afford it.

I rejoiced (slight over-exaggeration there) when the smoking ban came in and I could wear the same jeans the following day. Now, if I use the toilets in Harveys, I have to throw the jeans in the wash due to the three-inch piss-line on the end of my legs. They're a flipping disgrace!
