Ok I got ban over something so silly like using someone else prof lie which apparently has a cheat without my knowledge. Anyways I want to know is the banning ip ban or just serial key ban? If anyone knows.

I also see that ou are in Irish E-Sports, surely you must know what an aimbot is if you are in a clan ?

Anyway you are banned by PB bans, so any server streaming to PB bans will kick you when you try and join.

As you can see I have never cheated before! Plus I didn't know there was aimbot in the profile? I guess I will have to get a new cod4 I will try steam.
I love that game. Plus what does being/was in a clan have to do with this?

They (punkbuster) don't ban based on IP, that would be pointless. The ban is based on the game serial #. So buy a new copy.

They can ban based on hardware ID if they want (ie if the offence is serious, tampering with punkbuster etc). Which would mean your entire computer is permanently banned from all punkbuster games, and you'd need to change bits of hardware to circumvent it.

So count yourself lucky and cop on in future.

Realist you were caught on the Irish E Sports server on your own profile with a aimbot. Now if it was you or someone else using your profile i never got to the bottom of but pb banned you and i personally removed you from the clan list.
We dont tolerate any form of cheating in Irish E Sports and all sign ups are checked by our admins who are also pb admins as you know.

Well, if you had used a profile that belonged to someone else it would have had their name in you Alias list on PBbans. It does not, there are only 3 alias's, all of which are related to RealistSpy.

There should be a 4th one which was the person's name then I change it to my name and I got kicked, back to lv1 then I tried a different name but all my save came up corrupted and I kept getting kicked out by pb for "aimbot".

Then I told a server admin who told me I was cheating.

Anyways I hate arguing anyways I just wanted to find out what was ban now that I know I can play COD4 again.

In all honesty , no one ever believes these stories . I d/led this , someone else was on my pc , it was my brother on the same IP . It's been told and heard a million times before and no matter how genuine you are it will never be believed .
And cheaters are despised by the clean players , it's the worst thing that could possible happen to anyone in a gaming community and the only way out of it is a complete profile change . Leave whatever community you are in and change your nick because no one will ever believe that you play clean in any game . These are the facts .

WAS in Irish E-Sports until we sent his guid to punksbusted and pbbans for getting caught with blatant aimbot files - asking me "whats a aimbot?" only made u look silly (the specific file he had you cant get by accident) - Irish E-Sports has been responsible for catching 100s of people that have googled hacks like this

No, PB identifys each user based on their GUID; changing profiles won't give you a different GUID, so you wouldn't see any other alias's.

Im pretty sure if anyone put those lines of text in their config (mom_aimbot = 1 or whatever) they would be flagged as having an aimbot, even if they 100% didn't (so don't try it for a laugh :pac:), that detection is based on just looking at your config file for that piece of text.

So it is quite possible that you could be wrongly flagged as a cheater by using someone elses profile, or even a malicious 'custom config'.

I'd hope there was some actual evidence of aimbotting seen by the IE admins along with the CVAR, otherwise in hindsight its an unfair banning tbh.

I never said it would give you a different GUID. PBbans tracks your aliases though, based on both guid and IP. There were only 3 linked alias's related to that account, related to that name. If you are a streaming admin you can look it up yourself by putting in the guid in the above ban in the MPi and checked all of the boxes.

Granted there is a chance he changed his name before going into a server, or a streaming server at least, but if he was dumb enough to get caught on his own server I doubt it.

Look mate if I want to cheat I would do a better job come on seriously and why would I go around asking what an aimbot is if I already know I would be hiding my head. I know I didn't plan to use any aimbot so I have nothing to fear. Cheating on a PB server? Why?

I am going to buy a new serial and stick to my alias. Why act guilty if you are not. Did anyone bother looking to see if I was guilty or not?

Some players are actually good, and get accused of hacking religiously. I could name a few in irish esports servers that are very good, and some people hate to be beaten by them, and refuse the killcam evidence.

Meh, Punkbuster gets paid big bucks to do a good job, and Ithink they are doing it. Even balance ftw.

Evenbalance could be better but hey there are others aswell.
Love being accused of hacking, but hate getting kicked for suposidly being so.
