So, 1/3 of poles will apparently leave next year, possibly more after that. Other nationalities will likely have the same idea, can't blame them really after considering the growth prospects for here and there, but this sucks. Immigration brought great things here, will it all go if enough foreign nationals do? Not the most comprehensive poll (...zing..) but if you're a foreign national, are you going to leave us?

And what do the irish members think eh?

Once a family friend joined us for the funeral in Lithuania last winter. He's in his 60s. We warned him to take some warm clothes, he went: that's ok I don't need them, we have cold winters in Ireland to. I had to share my clothes with him as he didn't listen to us. After that he said he would never more comlplain that Irish winters are cold... Funny thing is that the temperatures than was only -5 to 0. The winters here are very mild

You think it is a bad thing that migrants are leaving as the economy goes to hell?

I silently lol`d. It is more a bit of luck tbh that they self regulate themselves in this regard, seing as our government should have brought people in on a renewable permit scheme.

Well the whole situation won't improve, that's for sure, but at least there will be a little more certainty on who's actually hiring

Anyway, good luck to those who are looking for a job. Be patient and the luck might find you when you least expect it

Sorry, but we don't speak polish. Polish is Slavic and lithuanian and latvian are unique Baltic. Same like Irish gaelic and Scottish gaelic

I can't because there are too many unemployed and not enough jobs, so you get people with lots of experience snapping up the jobs. There are jobs out there, it's just very difficult to get them.

Yea but it is disheartening, every day I post CV's and to no avail. Job advertised in dunnes today for part time work, I applied but I bet I won't even get a reply from them. It's easy for some to say "ride it out" but when you are renting and paying bills with little or no money it is very difficult.

I heard that it's very bad in Spain. Know few spanish, that came to Ireland recently looking for work. They said that there are 5mln unemployed people there and the Spain goverment is offering lump sums to imigrants to leave country and start their own business etc.
