Do you know people on boards

I've been on boards a few years now and probably know hundreds of people in here. But I have no idea who they are. So I've created options above wondering if there are many people in the same boat.

The people I have met on boards so far are through the cycling forum (plug-plug). All really sound chaps and ladies, all very helpful when it comes to our common interest and we even got matching jerseys made

I was gonna go along to the singles meet next week in Doyles, dont think its possible to meet someone I wouldn't get along with on boards!

Its funny, even 5 years ago the idea of meeting people "over the interweb" would have conjured images of 50 year old men posing as young girls, but now its probably as good a way as going to a pub.

Haven't actually met anyone in person through boards, but I tend to see a few people around who I recognise from Boards :cool:

I do have one real life friend who posts here only very very very occasionally and just on the one forum.

I thought I didn't know anyone on boards, then someone I know spotted my picture in KYN and pm'd me. Then it turned out my boyfriend is on boards too (cue panic and deleting loads of posts when I found that out!). So two people. I've never met anyone through boards though.

Don't know anyone personally or have never hooked up for beers with anyone here. I have had moderate success with scoring on Facebook and My Space. Admittedly some were absolute losers with profiles so faked but with others I have been pleasantly surprised when I met them in the flesh and we had something on the regular. This w/end I had an unbelievable time with someone I met through a Facebook application not too long ago. Pity Boards doesn't have such a service :-(

Apart from that. I'd know the majority of guys from the Self Defence & Martial Arts & MMA forums. Some of whom I've fought, some I've trained with and other's I've been drunk with.

I met a few of the lads from the Cycling forum (a great bunch of skinny fvckers).

I've never hid behind an identity, with me you get everything - good days and bad ~ ups and downs, smiles and frowns.

I know person in real life but I knew them before boards. I also occasionally see a post so similar in style to someone I know that I spend a good half hour looking at all the poster's other posts before concluding that it's either not them or else them in disguise.
