"Your answer based on N N 1 would appear to be correct. Gerry has used the Roman numeral for one, which I appreciate can be open to misinterpretation. Thanks for making me aware of this - I think most people will assume the Roman numeral refers to number 1 but if anyone else approaches me about it, I will tell them the same as I told you.

The personal satisfaction in completing the quiz is the main thing though, not the cash. It has given me 2 days of fun, and a sleepless night last night thinking of NNI.

'Black 47' is the name given to the year 1847 when the famine was at its height and is generally considered to be the worst year in Irish history.

(Presumably the band took their name from that).
