would really really love to go to this but its not an option with the horrible yokes who turn up to this venue making it quite dangerous. such a pity.
RaverRo808
Horrible yokes?are you kidding?yeah radio city is a real downtown baghdad alright, with all those dogey skinny celbridge heads with their ben sherman shirts from 1997 and 0 back and side haircuts, ohhhh, haha, yeah real dangerous, grow a pair and get your a*se down there man
bohsboy
Been there mate. never again. not worth getting sliced up in the jacks for nothing.
RaverRo808
Like normally these nights are fine, absolutely no bother, apart from one where I recall two smackheads somehow got in,and tried robbing bags and pulling knifes, but that was once off, normally you get few rowdy lads were theres abit of horse play but its normally good natured, perhaps you were at popcorn, and god help you if you were, the lowest of the low used to frequent that kip,but dont tar the oldskool nights with the scumbag brush because its not the case
The G Child
Will definitely try to get to this event. I'm from Ringsend myself and have seen Pierce Rooney play, and he is a quality DJ. Any time I've seen him he has tore the place up. Well worth seeing.
bohsboy
Sorry mate, definitely was'nt popcorn, I know the score on that one. No, I went to the North v South Oldskool night. Few rowdy lads? Well the fellas I saw at it have taken up more than a few paper column inches with their "activities". Got threatened in the toilets with a blade and had to leave early. A dump. And Ive been at my fair share of dumps.
Great idea with the Oldskool theme. I thought I read in one of your earlier posts that you were'nt too fond of these nights?
:
"Im sick of this sh*t from aload of bitter blokes in their 30's who have the attitude that 'oh we were at the asylum and it was amazing, but your just a nipper and havent right to say anything about it''pure loada b*llox, you had your fun when you were young, now we should have ours trying to
recapture those days we missed
Be honest I think an oldskool night full of blokes in their late 30's,with reciding hair and beer guts, trying to dance like leeroy outta the prodigy would be a horrible sight"

Well I was there that night myself man,and I heard that happened and yes there were afew bogeys present that night, and even I can say that was the first time in a long time, that there was so much scum present and trouble at a particular night, you just were unlucky mate
bohsboy
Fair enough, cant argue with that. I would love to go though, not often you get lineups like that.
gottahavehouse
i love dance music old and new but i never said i wasnt a fan of these nights i just feel some people can use the old cliche they dont make them like they used to too much...i was one of them yrs back wen the old skool nite scene was gettin big again in 05,06 but i broadened my horizons and now i listen to a bit of everythin from proggy and techy electro house to tech trance, hardhouse and beyond wat im trying to do with this nite is celebrate the past but introduce some future sounds and hope ppl embrace that ya know im a real fan and i want a real fans night that real fans of dance music willl remember for a long time...i cant gurantee whol turn up at the event but in my opinion any altern8 gig ive been to has past off without trouble anyway lets hope its remembered for the music and nothing else
