Scumbags, yay or nay?

They seem to multiply at an alarming rate. I remember back in the old days (maybe 10 years ago) there were a few n'er do wells in every town but now you have to wade through millions of them every time you go outside the door.
Anyway, I called a bunch of drug users/street drinkers (the type you always see hanging around, not occasional users) scumbags the other day and got the head torn off me by a member of the PC brigade who said they should be helped and homed and gosh darn it just loved back into the world. As far as I am concerned these (particular) people

put themselves there

keep themselves there

steal

intimidate people

fight, amongst each other or with unfortunates who get in their way

do not work

do not try to work

scare children

p*ss anywhere

turn areas into no go areas

and I find it really really hard to have sympathy. Yes so circumstances can make life hard for people but lots of people have difficult lives and just get on with it and make a frickin effort. Tbh I have more sympathy for the couple trying to make ends meet with two jobs and a coupe of kids.

So should we have sympathy and be understanding to all these people?

Or are they scumbags who don't deserve it?

I know plenty of private school cnuts that i wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.

Problem is like in the UK ...

Government give these scum families money for nothing .. the more kids (future scumbags) they have the more free money they get, problem gets out of hand.. people make a living out of it .. some single women chavs do it just to get a house ffs...

In Spain, govt doesn't give you money per kid .. and any support you get is extremely limited .. basically if you can't afford to have kids .. you don't have them.. as a result i rarely (never) see large groups of thugs here ...

of course Spain has it's knackers .. but not hanging around in groups of 30+
intimating all the neighbours , look how bad it is in the UK .. and Ireland is heading that way .. Govt needs to cut back on benefit ..

Although I met a few younger lads I'd term as scumbags..you know the hoodie gang etc but most of them surprise me as how decent they are..
I remember in my day we'd used to hang around in groups and I'm sure most older people had the same opinion of us.

Few weeks ago I saw a young kid get stabbed in the face with a broken bottle on the middle of patrick street in the middle of the day with about 500 people around.
