Why are human beings obssessed about sex?

This is a genuine question.

If we have nothing else to talk about, we either bitch or just talk about sex. Everything from what we eat to how we dress is a subconscious thought about roiding.

So is it an implant at birth? The need to pro-create? To leave our mark (ahem)? Or what?

It is an interesting question though, I think a lot of it has to do with society...for example, it was taboo to discuss such things around 100 years ago, but now it's a perfectly everyday thing.
I think society is the answer....to a certain degree we were programmed to do it, but the 'obsession' stems from society's influence...well in my opinion anyhow

i think there's also the fact that from childhood we're raised to think sex is naughty!

I mean, one lecturer at the start of the year would make some sort of reference to sex and everyone would laugh, just coz he mentioned sex.

In 50 years time when kids are told about sex immeditely, everyone will see it as normal.

if someone mentioned sex in a lecure, no-one would laugh. They'd be like "what's the big deal? i don't get it?"
