Anyone else having problems getting the video to load?
For the last few weeks its taken about 20 attempts to get the video to play, and only on that site, no others.

Yeah I have troubles loading it too - I think it's just the servers getting completely hammered; he is probably that site's biggest asset after all. You gotta be patient!

They use their own unique player. I had a problem with it a while ago and just updated Flash. They have a troubleshooting faq so have a look there?

You'll be missing out. It's really not that bad a game. It's not as revolutionary as they'd hoped, but it can be a lot of fun to play. Definitely worth a rent.

Yeah I'm playing though it now and enjoying it. Controls are a bit 'meh' and I haven't done a driving level yet (I hear they're fun), but I'm enjoying it for what it is - a good survival horror game (with faults).

Another 2 months of testing/tweaking (and firing that Gonad chap) would have done it a world of good.

Worth a rental.

This weeks review was good, as an mmo'er I lol'd (eve>all btw!). I'm really missing the original music he'd have at the start of each review and the end, its just the same theme now

THere's definitely comething different about his voice. It's not as deep, I think. Still a good review. I like the idea of the naked server too!

Never played a MMRPG, I think it would destroy my life. At least single player RGPs have to end!

Funny guy, reminds me of Maddox, but its still just a review. Id love to see him review pro Evo or something.

The only MMOs I have ever played were Eve and Star Wars Galaxies; both I stopped playing for the same reasons and philosophies that Yahtzee brings up in the review, so I chortled at that. I can't say though that I ever saw the *point* of Conan tbh; it just always seemed like another generic medieval MMO.

Oh and I'm not pushed about the new music either; it is rather incongruous. On the other hand, I am on the site to watch the review

I imagine the escapist probably got a slap from their lawyers about using copyrighted music in ZP in the past, and the possibility of having to pay royalties on it.

Alone in the Dark one was great - Gonad FTW! The Conan review had a few goods points about MMORPG too i.e. the grind. I'll be giving both games a miss.

Actually no, they didn't. According to his website, www.fullyramblomatic.com he changed the music for two reasons, to be more professional and as a precaution against copyright issues.

Ah I know, but given that his main point was the supposed absence of true creativity in gaming, Mirrors Edge stands as a pretty big example of it not being completely the case &I thought he'd at least champion that. A particularly public one at that given how much EA are pushing the game
