utv PPP error

Just got utv bb. Setting it up on d link asdl2 wireless modem/router. When get to authentcating it give PPP password does not match. Utv of course says is an eircom problem and need them to get an engineer out. Any chance its something to do with the modem

First of all am not sure this is a wireless issue. Have you taken the following steps?

put in your utv username and password

put in the following settings:

encapsulation: ppoe
Multiplex method LLC
vpi 8
vci 35

Make sure and save your settings and that should sync no problem.

yeah that all went ok. Its when its verifying account on line is the problem. I'm beginning to think that the account hasnt been activated yet
