Good Friday suggestions

A couple of female friends of mine (no laughing at the back!) are visiting dublin Easter weekend as part of a group of 20-30 girls (think its a hen) unaware of the whole good friday thing here.

Basically they are only here for 2 things (in no particular order) drink and mickey.

So im looking for a few suggestions for what i can tell them to do on friday instead. Maybe a train to belfast or a trip to er, glendalough?

Any suggestions?

Heuston station will serve and if you have a room in a hotel then they ll serve you. Used to do it in my old job, the boss would book a room and everyone would head over and get plastered.

But on a serious note wheres the orgy happening ha ha ha ha.

Maybe GAA clubs.......Sin or Gaiety could be open as they have a theatre license

Just crash a house party, there'll be loads going on.....

They won't be alone getting caught out, who have thought it......they expect drunks in Ireland and then all the pubs close at 12 on Thursday night....

If its about 30 people, i assume their staying in a hotel. the hotel can legal serve them as much alcohol as they want.
Also restaurants are allowed to serve one drink along with a meal, but in my experience most will serve as much as you want.

there used to be disco's that opened at 12am on good friday night, my local one doesn't anymore, but some might?

Not that many places actually open in Belfast on Good Friday.

Much better option is to take a tpip up to the border area, Newry-Dundalk, Lifford-Strabane etc and thats where all the craic will be.. Pubs are full from 11am near me plus its usually a bit of a sausage fest so both drink and mickey will be in plentiful supply...

I saw 4 hen nights wandering around temple bar last year bewildered as to why the pubs were closed, I nearly laughed myself sick.
