Espisode 1 is crap for two reasons Jar Jar waank sorry I mean binks and midiclhorieiens or however you spell that stupid word.

Episode 2 is awesome ppl are just sore about episode 1 and some ppl are also very childish and influencial and do and say things cause that's what everyone else does.

I thought making Yoda have a fight against Dooku waws ridiculous. Everyone in the cinema thought it was hilarious, but I thought it was tacky. He was such a dignified character before that - my opinion is that George Lucas RUINED Yoda's character for a cheap laugh, the idiot. I hate the prequels, I think they're lame.

On a totally different point, did anybody else realise that the guy who did the voice of Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) also did the voice of Mufasa in the Lion King?

Because Vader was a jedi who turned to the Dark Side, he is technically, not actually a true Sith Lord, but a Dark Jedi, similar but not the same. Darth Maul, however, is probably a true Sith Lord, and, I am told, means he is more powerful than Vader.

However, Vader is the coolest, baddest, bad ass mo' fo' ever.

I know, and it saddens me that dispite disliking 1 & 2, I'll be there for Episode 3. I think it's my last shred of hope.
As for who'd win? Vadar. He might not be able to put Full Sith Lord down on his CV, but just because he ain't pure evil doesn't mean he couldn't hand Maul his ass on a plate with a side of Dooku fries.

darth maul wasnt a sith lord ,he was an apprentice,sidiuos was the sith lord.

Yoda fightin duku didnt dimminish him in anyway,the rest of the film sucked,yoda was probably the best lightsaber dueler ,and not to show that wud have been ****,if ppl laughed then they clearlt werent real fans.

While in ep1 JarJar is annoying but there's an awful lot more to the film than that. Ep2 no one has said why they didn't like it. I can't wait to see ep3 I think it'll rawk.

now, I actually liked Ep 2, I mean it wasn't nearly as good as ep's 4 to 6, but it was a hell of a lot better then The Phantom Menace, that film just sucked balls!

and I am looking forward to Ep 3, I think it will rok my sox off! I mean, as long as it doesn't do a Matricks: instead of answering the questions, it just asks a **** load more

I'll chime in here. Episode 2 was miles better than phantom menace; it was in fact a fairly good film. But the acting/direction was really rubbish for the most part (I know the original films weren't Shakespear, but still), and some of the foreshadowing got on my nerves (eg: Anakin - "I think there should be just one guy telling everyone what to do").
All that said, it was such a vast improvement on Episode 1 that I've got high hopes for Episode three.

Darth Brawl, those books, while nice and interesting, arent canon. Anything canon and actually part of the story is included in the movies. otherwise its just candy to make cash outta people.

Vader was the strongest jedi ever, until Anakin Solo, possibly.

Yoda's character was completely demeaned by the fight with Dooku, he looked like a green Sonic the Hedgehog, ffs.

Ep 1+2 would have possibly made 1 pretty great movie. They could have left out all the overblown special fx driven crap, pod-race, car chase around corusant, vist to jar-jars people and Jar Jar himself. The remainder would have made 1 great 1st episode. It would have meant having 2 Anakin's in one movie but I think we could have dealt with it.

And why was Amidalla a Queen if that was actually the title of an elected official. It makes no sense.

This is ridiculous.

But tbh not as ridiculous as the final scene in RotJ where Vader seems to loose all his skill, trip over his own feet and reduce himself to the effective of a kitten before getting his hand cut off.

That scene in RoTJ was cool but made no real sense considering Vaders genuine abilities with a Lightsaber. But then again, thats the old trilogy in contrast with the new one.

If only they could remake the old scenes in the original trilogy to update the lightsaber fights, which look so clumsy and ungraceful, with no visual wow factor.

Although I imagine that Vader would win in the hypothetical fight, Maul had an excellent theme tune.

Plus, at the time that they were both alive, Vader - Anakin - was only a kid. So if they did fight, realistically, Maul would beat the little chap. He's not so crap as to lose to a "Youngling"

I know Sith is just a religion started by the dark jedi, but Maul fits the desciption to a T of the race the dark jedi converted to sith.

Where did you get the description of this sith race? Ive never heard of it but it sounds familiar. Maul was actualy Zabrak, the same species as jedi council member Eeth Koth. Mauls tatooes are similar to thoose worn by most sith before there were only 2. Also the the Zabrak are meant to have a fondness of tatoos but nothing to the extent of maul's,his covering his entire bod (both his red and blac colouring was tatooed):eek:

ps i think vader would beat maul robotic hands down, Vader was way to new school to have his ass whooped by some over-tatooed punk that had been taught by a fossil.:cool:

Vader all the way. Maul was just a convienent pawn the Emperor used as a spy. Vader was the iron fist that the Emperor used to rule an entire galaxy. Also he could fly better.

To be honest do you really think in the middle of a saber battle, stopping and holding your hand up to choke 1 person is a good idea when there is another one attacking you as well?

Think about it as well. For the age and the training he had, Anakin faught Dooku and lost. Got his ass kicked. So did Obi wan.

Obi wan killed Maul even though it was still 2 on 1 for most of that battle.

Vader only killed Obi cause he let him.

So add Dooku up there as a third option.....see how many votes he'd get!

First of all, Dooku is among the top 5 saber fighters in the movies(Yoda, Palpatine, Obi Wan and Anakin are better, perhaps Mace Windu too) Anakin, an unexperience padawan wouldn't stand a chance in ep 2. Neither did Obi Wan, Dooku is trained for saber to saber combat, not deflecting blasters like Obi Wan and Anakin. With more training Anakin did kill Dooku in ep 3, a master regarded as one of the best saber fighters of that era.

Second of all, Vader would have been able to use lightning if his arms wasn't mechanic. In fact, if his hands weren't mechanic Luke wouldn't stand a chance, neither would Obi Wan in ep IV.

Third of all, Obi Wan won just because Darth Maul didn't remember to get rid of Qui Gonn's Lightsaber. Darth Maul was clearly better until that point of the fight.

Fourth of all, and I know I'm being picky, but Vader's lightsaber never actually touched Obi Wan's body. Technicaly, Obi Wan commited suicide.

Heard that kids, suicide is cool. Obi Wan did it :P

Oh, and Vader would win. The saber fights were alot slower in the old trilogy because they didn't have the same technology, the actors didn't have access to the same training and George Lucas wanted it to look like the saber weigh 50 lbs.
