Shouldn't do generalisations but gotta say i gave up on irish girls years ago. Didnt bed them all so open to being shot down here.Have found British girls (live in uk) way more open and adventurous.

I lived in the US for almost 4 years before returning home just over a year ago. I met very few American girls that had any sexual hangups.

My take on the problem with Irish girls not being good in bed all stems from the Catholic church having protrayed sex as something dirty and to be ashamed of.

Irish people in general are less affected by the church nowadays, but Irish girls still have that sense of embarrassment about their sexuality. Although it is getting a lot better, I find it is still 60/40 whether the girl you take home is going to be good or one of those types who seem to think that sex just involves them lying on their back and letting the guy f**k them, with no effort made by the girl at any form of foreplay.

Thats kinda ironic. A guy complaining about lack of foreplay. LOL

Having lived in Italy/USA/Spain/Oz .. The guys there love Irish women.. they appreciate the unique combo of beauty/brains (for the most part) that is the irish woman.. No we may not all be swedish supermodels but u know what lads .. Iv never had any prob either in Ireland or abroad and to judge a womans prowess in bed on her lineage just shows a complete lack of knowledge and experience !!

I think that its less of a case of irish women being boring and more of a case of You cant play a violin if you dont know where the strings are !!
To be honest that old joke of irish mens idea of foreplay being 'Brace yourself Bridget' .. Not so far from the truth!!

well, basing it on my own personal experience, the majority of women that have been more open to sexual activity and definately more direct on the topic have been non nationals.

Most irish girls play a game of ring around the rosie with you, one irish girl who had just returned from a jaunt in Italy for a year or two even had a hang up about going down on a bloke, yet she had no problem having someone go down on her or even sleeping with her based purely on the knowledge of knowing what bar I worked in.

So Far the best have been in this order,
English
Spanish,Swedish
and last but not least Irish.

mind you, I've been with more irish girls than non nationals, but i've enjoy'd the latter experiences far more.

p.s. that irish girl i was speaking of was also very intellectual and could even speak latin, so intelligence is nothing to do with it love, but then again i'm sure your smart enough to know that

One tautology which has been shared on these forums before is that majority of Irish people require a bit of social lubrication before they get any courage to do what they want, where as continentals don't. that would indicate some form of repression don't you think?

Possibly you may have a point and i do agree with a previous poster that maybe the catholic church's undue influence has left its mark..

However we all different .. im v happy and confident in myself .. Maybe Irish women generally are not as confident as our continental neighbours but Foreign men generally seem to approach women more and are more attentive and sensitive ..But my point is there are exceptions to everything .. For example, french men supposed to be great lovers .. Personally i do not like french men .. They are not v masculine on the whole and you cant have a laugh with them.. I like rugged men so that doesnt work for me ..

However to some women that is great .. We all different and to say irish women rubbish in bed is a joke

I reckon that the up and coming generation of young girls will change all that. They seem to have far fewer inhibitions than previous generations and go a lot further when it comes to sex and at increasingly younger ages.

Funny I tend to agree with the Irish girl sack of potatoes bit somewhat, by comparison to women from other climes. In fairness I'm gleaning this information from a sadly all too small sample.:D so It's probably me.

Can't speak for OZ, but the Americans seem to dig Irish women and men alright. Most of the Spanish or Italian men I've talked with both in their country and here, mostly were of the opinion that Irish girls weren't the best looking in general but they were easier to get into bed. Goes against what some Irish guys are saying here.

Maybe the foreign lads have more luck. Grass being greener and all that. Any of the women from those places felt that Irish men were a mixed bunch but were less sleazy than their homegrown kind. The heavy drinking thing doesn't go down well mind. That's perception for you.

Though the only thing I will say with some degree of sureness, is that Irish women tend to be more uptight when it gets down to it and the tend to be less groomed. Among other thing you are far more likely to find a brazilian on a Brazilian, so to speak, than on an Irish woman.

And who's fault is that? If Irish men or indeed any man doesn't know where the strings are, shouldn't you just show him? Where's the hangup? How is he supposed to learn? From books? Booklearnin will only take you so far. The amount of women out there who don't know where their own strings to pluck is only mad Ted. Every woman is different. They may like different things both inside and outside the sheets. How is an inexperienced bloke to find out beyond the basics. Trial and error. That's how and if you ain't pointing out the error it's gonna be a trial for you. The problem with that way of working is that the guy pretty much 99% of the time ends up laying down in the warm afterglow, while the non communicative lays there feeling cheated. The usual response of course is "well their poor little egos can't take it". Eh if your sleeping with a guy with that delicate of an ego you're in trouble. Most men are only too delighted with any chance to make themselves better betwixt the sheets. That is an ego thing. Use it.

In my limited that was a difference with the non Irish woman. They had less of a hang up and made it easier to find out the good stuff and explain your shortcomings(to coin a phrase, as it were, so to speak)so everybody was happy. As I say that comes from a small enough pool of experience. Your mileage may differ.
