weighing scales query

I step on the scales. 75.3kg. I drink a half litre of water and step on it again. Still 75.3kg. Where has the half kilo of liquid gone to?

Perhaps the scales is in fact a piece of crap and not as accurate you thought/hoped?

Scales are generally not too acurate. Get on one a few times aday and you will notice a lot of variation.

but that is actually because you weight actually varies through out the day as oppose to being a problem with the scales

A friend of mine bought a scales from Ikea last year (£2). I weighed 12 stone on it and yet only weighed 10.5 on the three others I tested in a panic that week

Maybe Swedish measurements are different to everywhere else...or maybe it was a pile of crap scales

I don't think it varies by over a stone, which my scale seems to tell me.

I could vary by up to a stone each day. depends how much water you drink, how much food and how long since you have eaten it etc...
