If you possessed Mystical Magical Powers what foreign landmarks would you take for your area.

Pighead would love to take the Sydney Opera House and land it down at the Quays in Dundalk. Its not really the most salubrious area of the town and I'm pretty sure the presence of an Opera House is exactly whats neeed to bring a better class of citizen to the area.

I'd move the Rhine to flow by my townland (The Blackhills - between Skerries & Balbriggan).

I spent many happy evenings drinking at the outdoor bars along the Rhine in Dusseldorf & think that a massive river flowing over the top of the hill that I live on would be the b0ll0x.

A great accompaniment would be a hoard of lissom young German roller-bladers to weave suggestively up & down the boardwalk I'd have built along the river.

To top it all off - I'd have a permanent late-summer sunset positioned just the far side of the river from my gaff.

The Taj Mahal would make a nice centre piece for my back garden. I could paint the minnarets to look like gnome heads so that hopefully noone would notice that I've nicked it.

It'll be difficult but the venetian blinds really do it for me. I suppose I could have a nunnery on the other side of my house to balance it out?

Pigheads sure it'll be fine though, the rose and daffodil sections of the garden are supposed to be out of this world.

Thanks for the heads up there Pighead. Luckily there's one of those scary werewolfesque abandoned fields behond my house, so I'll try and pop it in there. If anyone queries it, they'll just get the standard response of "yes, of course thats always been there, dont tell me you havent noticed it before" as I throw my eyes to heaven.

Is it possible to have landmarks that are gone now? I'd like the Colossus of Rhodes stradling Dublin Bay. Failing that, a section of the Great Wall of Chine placed around Bayside to keep out the mongols!

Viaduc de Millau viaduct crossing the Suir above Waterford would look good. I'd like the Millenium Wheel thing on the south quays and Gaudis fantastic Cathedral placed on the north quay.

Wow that is one magnificent viaduct. Every town needs one of those. Not too sure about the Gaudi cathedral though. Pigheads realising where the origins of the word "Gaudy" come from now.
