Yesterday I was cursing myself that I didn't bring my 'bag 4 life' when doing my shopping.. that what my Gran does. I'm supposed to be young and careless, I'm supposed to waste endless amounts of money on plastic bags cos I can.

Wtf like?

That aside, the most worrying thing is something that Billy Connolly has spoken about - making groaning noises when leaning down to pick up something.

This morning I let out a bit of a 'uuugghhhh' when I bent down to take my phone off the charger. What the hell is that about eh?

There was a couple of younger children running down the street last night and I started to stay "pff teenagers these days" *queue shaking of fist* Things aren't looking good for Ruu.

Things that make me feel old at 25:

- Footballers now being younger than me, i.e. Rooney, Ronaldo, etc. Back in the old days footballer always were people you could imagine yourself being once you finished school, studied your degree, etc... now its too late!

- Not having the energy to go out partying every night and get to work the
next day. Just reading or working in the evening instead.

- Realising there is a generation gap between me and "the next generation".

- Turning 25 recently and realising that I've probably lived 1/3 my life and will never be as young and innocent again.

- Being called "Mr" or "that man / gentleman" (I still feel 14 inside!).

- Actually wondering what life is supposed to be about, if anything, and thinking morbid thoughts about people you know and how you'll all die and be dust in a cosmic instant.

I always think that especially if there's a live band playing. I dunno what's wrong with me because I can never actually hear what they're playing since it's too loud if that makes sense.

my cousin was walking down the road with me and I said hello to the guy who used to deliver coal to our house when we were kids. She asked who he was and I said he used to be our coalman - she laughed her ass off thinking I was joking and laughed even harder when I told her we used to have a coal bunker out beside garage!! I have started with breaking out in song - it's mad!
Someone says something that makes me think of a song and instead of shutting up I start singing the song.
My Granny and my Ma does this so it's def a sign of getting old/losing it altogether.

The thing that just got to me is that its 2007 next year, another decade on it's way to completion. And the bits I don't remember in this decade are usually caused by alcohol, rather than being too young (like in the early 90s).

I do remember collecting stickers for the 1990 world cup, and writing to Packie after that fantastic save vs. romania. He actually sent a letter back to me and my cousin, in fairness to him.

I've also started feeling nostalgic about the wierdest things. I'm only 21 for god's sake.

I have the opposite problem.

Was talking to a friend the other day and I hadn't seen him in a while. I asked him what he was up to and he told me he was stationed in Donnybrook. Turns out that he is a Guard! And he has a kid! When did all my friends grow up? and why did they leave me behind! Im just a uni student with a part time job.

I guess I may as well enjoy it while I can. Before I become like you old farts;)
