your favourite childhood tv show

Hello there,

this morning I got up unusually early (for a job interview) and while having my porridge I flicked through the programs on telly.

To my surprise there was She Ra the princess of power on, and I just had to laugh. I used to love that show when I was a child and hadn't come across it for ages. I just thought it's all so droll and really cute and so on. I think I had a smile on my face for the rest of the day (interview went well btw).

So, I was wondering what your favourite show was when you were a child and what you think of them now....and if it's still broadcasted.

Ah, these bring back memories, but since I had Sky from '89 onwards, I had Cartoon network and TCC. I also had BBC1/2, ITV & CH4.

Battle of the Planets, was that the program with the different planets (Rock, Fire, Bone etc) that were at war with the "beast" planet (made of null matter) and were assisted by Princess Techla who was the last of her race (well it was on TCC).

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (also on TCC).

Round the Twist, I saw those on Nick and I think the different episodes are based on a series of short stories). For example the one where there was a "birdman" compettition. The main character saved up and bought a glider, but then when he was on the beach it flew out of his hand and then this bully came along on his horse and trampled it. The character later found this weird "cat" hat that would open its eyes, and what ever it saw, the wearer would immediatly do.

Other programs that I remember was (from Cartoon Network) Space Ghost, The Jetsons, The Flintstones and hundreds of others.

There is one however and I cannot think of the name of it. There were three characters, a boy a girl and (I think) a dog. They were called leaha, bee and tricky. It was set in europe, I think they used to read about some thing that happened in history then they would travell back to when it happened and see it or something. The title tune had the line "europe is the place to be".

Another one was Captain Planet (on CITV a lot)
