That fool Hector and the Eye Cinema

How many of you have been to the Eye Cinema in galway and been tortured by that complete fool Hector for about 5 minutes.

He spends ages just telling people not to make noise, not to use your phone and dont throw gum on the ground.

Any other cinema can do it really fast why must they let that spanner go on for ages in the most annoying voice ever.

Im going to throw up a poll here for the craic and see how many people hate him.

They sell Pepsi because the company offered a better level of service than Coca-Cola Ireland. People would ask for coca-cola out of habit but would take pepsi in its place and never came back saying they didn't like it. Some people might genuinely prefer the taste of coca-cola but a lot of folk don't care either way.

Because it costs money and as the trailer isn't even a year old yet, it's not going anywhere. The PTB at Eye went with Hector because they wanted something different than what the Omniplex were using and they wanted something unique that would get people talking about the cinema.

Unless the film burns up in a projector or Hector quits the entertainment industry, we're stuck with it for the time being.

I can't stand that annoying ginger b0ll0x and his rowdly-dowdly, horseracing, whisky promoting, skanger-talking attitude. He is an unfunny, yellow-pack version of Tommy Tiernan and he should get a job managing the paint section of Woodies in Athlone so I never have to see him again. I cringe everytime I go to the eye cinema and have to put up with the ginger ninja!
For me its the only negative thing about eye cinema,oh yeah the popcorn drink "deal"should be looked at too!!!

1st time i saw that Hector bit before a film i thought - this is unique and funny in a stupid sort of way but now i dread it when i walk into the cinema... its totally cringeworthy and embarrasing, i want to hide behind the seat in front of me and block my ears til its over....
You get lulled into a false sence of security by the trailers and adds and you almost forget but then suddenly he pops up with his "WELL!"
I can just about take it til the clown goes "Thanks Michael!" about the smokin ban. What a spanner.
They really need to change it.

And AND if you are worried about where people live, then, my friend you have far too much time on your hands...Worry about something else...Iran, Israel, the existence of a higher power etc...

Went to the eye cinema last night to watch jarhead. Pretty gud movie but it also suceeded in reminding me that hector should be burned.

I think hes pretty cool, if not a little ubiquitous and scycophantic...but hey...
and he can speak irish and i would consider him a good cultural ambassador actually, he makes a change from those haughty, peer over your glasses in aran jumper, west of ireland gaelgoir types....
