everyone is entitled to an opinion - why challenge them?

if people (anyone: homosexual, hetrosexual, male female) wish to join the "forces", what does it matter? in what way do they differ? it's not as if a sexual preference or gender can make you any different to the person beside you when it comes to the "forces".
