Panel named……
Is Sean Guiden any relation to Niall Guiden that played for the Dubs in the 90s
Sean is Niall son.
An ounce of breeding...
It's early but Clare look far more up for this than Dublin...
In a season that promised much, the hurlers are bowing out in a whimper. Scored 16 points so far D Burke has scored 12 of them...4 points from the rest of the team.
😒🤐
its a good dublin team there is now doubt but if a few key players are missing it hampers ye big time , ronan hayes highlighted tonight why daragh lohan is not a corner back , and eibher quilligan saved us from a defeat
there was also a lack of direction on the field tonight , going for goals posibaly too early in the second half when chipping away would have done , paddy smith was excellent as was eoin o'donnell , if cian osullivan was fit it could have been diffrent
its still work in progress and ye are making progress , good dublin crowed in thurles tonight and lots of noisy young supporters like you would see in a munster championship game , pity a few more dont join in because this team deseves it , ye are going in the right direction
The Dublin hurlers feel like an “almost team” above a certain level . Need 3/4 decent hurlers for squad depth in my view . The panel feels very thin.
This year hasn't changed my opinion of where the hurlers are:
Too strong for the weaker teams, too weak for the stronger teams.
I do think that they are still on an upward trajectory, and they have great games within themselves, so overall happy in comparison to where they used to be, but they're so close to taking that next step up that I have to admit to being crushed when it doesn't come off.
Seems like they’ve decided Donegal in 305 and Dublin in 306
Seems to be more Donegal fans than Dubs. Half hour before throw in .
Last game off the year for county. Hopefully lads will die with their boots on.
7 defeats in last 9 games in Croke Park. No back to back wins in championship for a few years now.
I’m glad I’m out of country for the game today as I expect a drubbing. Also convinced con will go off injured as it feels like that would be an appropriate end to a miserable season.
I couldn't make it today but crowd looks poor. RTE have a 'Kerry' co-comm and a 'Kerry' analyst....the way they pick these panels is mildly irritated...
I expect Dublin to lose, just hoping they can produce something big but goals and 2-point scores have been very hard to come by and I suspect they'll need them.
Bit of reverse psychology no harm!
Straight into the Pool afterwards to drown my sorrows!
Team sheets
If Dublin lose, when was the last time both hurling and football season was over so early?
Support is poor for Dublin.
Decent start by Dublin but poor misses by Small and Con and some sloppy possession. Donegal starting to up their game though.
Match after match...wide open, opposition just run through Dublin.
What a disaster of a goal to give away. Crap kick out, but no one chases back, not a great shot but keeper completely misses it.
Donegal doing all the running, spotting the spaces and supporting each other, Dublin feeding off scraps and barely hanging on
Game over. Kickout again.
what’s worse is we have whatever wind advantage there is
Goal has woken them up a bit, actually moving ball with a bit of speed and realising that if Donegal are closing everyone with ball there must be space somewhere to exploit
Terrible goalkeeping for the goal. Both the kick out and beaten at near post
Yeah you wouldn’t mind if Donegal made it. Just pure dopey stuff.
At least Dublin didnt fold completely surprised at that .
Con carrying the team so far a goal and 2 1pts 30 gone.
I was just saying f@ck sake Con with thst wide....then hits the goal!!
