The data on nationalities allocated council housing is going to be so damaging for the government.

I posted proof last week I was sent from a friend in my native Thurles of how housing that is specifically designed for the elderly is now getting allocated to foreigners. This housing is adapted for elderly/infirm disabled people.

A reminder below of this.

It's up to mods and admins to take action on a thread that is constantly promoting hate. Hateful speech and generalised commentary about race creed and colour which was contrary to Boards rules prior to all the messing around with those rules last year.

Very genuinely worried about housing for the elderly allocated to middle aged foreigners. As a taxpayer who like other tax payers in this thread own a stake in these houses through taxation and LPT paid to these counculs, as a native of Thurles, that still goes back there once a week knowing people from around the town and surrounds who were higher priority than these economic migrants.

Under the Tipperary County Councils allocation scheme adopted 01 February 2024, these houses built in 1978 are still designated as "Older Person Dwellings" they aren't supposed to be allocated to person not who are not elderly. I know these houses very very well because my father and his friends worked on the construction of them in the late 1970s. It was something they were very proud to point out.

Allocation of this house breached the councils very own allocation rules.

If you want I can actually produce someone who lived in one of these type houses. His mother died in 2023. The person was relocated because they weren't allowed to inherit the tenancy as they are designated "older person dwellings"

Now I asked you to please show proof of these disgusting racist posts. There's nothing racist about wanting a county council to stick to the rules they adopted r.e allocations

What's racist is the fact the someone that was paying rent, on carers allowance and had to leave this type of dwelling when his mum died because the rules on inheritance, but someone that doesn't fit the criteria for this type of house is accommodated. Has probably never contributed a single cent to this country and claimed benefits since arriving here.

On the one hand you had a guy with moderate learning difficulties who had to change his mothers nappies and he struggled to get palliative care nurses out to the house.

Someone that is primarily here for benefits.

Everyone agreed that Bertie’s comments could be perceived as racist. And you know this. Nowhere did I say the comments were not racist. The debate was around the context etc.. and as said, even a person of color on BOC show stressed that although his comments were racist, it didn’t auto mean he was a racist person. I agreed with his comments that we should not be taking in more immigrants from the Congo. Shoot me!!
