Thanks. she’s a Parthenaise cross but I can see why you could think she was Blonde
Bit of a mix up!! Great cross, I've had good success with Parthenaise cows and blue bulls. Any issue calving ?
no. Calved away herself. He wasn’t big and she is an absolute tank of a cow. She weighed 995kg a week before she calved
All you want is enough of those sort of cows!! I assume you went the same route again this year ? A heifer be worth some money with that shape and colour.
Couldn’t get any more straws of that lad but another blue
While that’s a great calf I wouldn’t want a herd like her.. I prefer a milker cow around 750kg. That’s the sweet spot I think
Eurogene have a new LM bull Ampertaine Rooney? Anyone any thoughts on him? Might suit a tidy cow?
His figures suggest he'd be easy calving
Brought some serious muscle and size.
Very easy calving and reliable figures since he’s 6 years old.
Interesting bull alright. I haven't seen any calves from him yet. By Plumtree Fantastic, who is a great bull, but no milk.
New Limousin bull for Munster/PG.

Heard them talking about him, they were saying they have big hopes for him
NT821 gene and 3 on confirmation will bring a serious animal.
Q here. Would you breed from this heifer? She has a small hump 2/3rds down her back. It looks like a dip but when she straightens you can see the hump. I would say no but she’s in heat today. From a very good maternal line so disappointing to pass on her .
This is the straightest her back goes
I wouldn’t chance her.ive gambled on a few over the years like her with something small wrong and they rarely work out in the long run.
I’d breed away. I would see that as a cosmetic defect
Yes, she's probably worth more as a cull if it doesn't work out
Yeah I would work away, I often bull heifers that won't be a hit in the store ring and take one calf and then move on as a cull works out well enough.
I decided against it, I’ve spent the last 5 years culling and breeding out problems in my herd so seems a step back. I’ve 9 suitable replacements this year and 10 more for next year so I’d like to breed these things out.
up to yourself but you could bull and the sell as a springer.
LM8625 Rolex bull calf.
LM8622 Rigby Heifer is the dark red & LM9379 Shannon Stan light red heifer.
Rolex & Rigby are bringing lovely stock as they would be from plainer cows than the Shannon Stan heifer.
Shannon stan calf off one of my smaller cows
Heifer repeating here today after 13 days, bit unusual with a heifer i think. Showing a proper standing heat on both occasions. Should I serve her again or is it a waste of time this cycle?
I would serve her. I serve when ever I see a heat regardless of days bulled. She won’t hold to the first serve this is the only chance to get her in calf for 3weeks.
Anyone here know of or tried Scenario FR7265359139?
Fook sake, €60.
BERNISH TOPLAD - Progressive Genetics
I wouldn’t use him if the straws were free
what myostatin? Must be aimed at show circuit
• Carries 1 copy of the NT muscle gene
I’m looking for a lim bull that carries 2copies of the nt. waiting for one of the companies to get one. Every second calf from the single carries is top quality then plainer without it. Makes a big difference selling weanling bulls
They were telling me about him, they reckon he's top of the pops but I dont see it, was it from England they imported
Video of him selling in Carlisle, 4th May '24.
