Mince and onion pie. My wife is better than me at pastry. I just assembled.
Aubergine with rose harissa, fermented tofu 王致和玫瑰腐乳.
Black eye beans with grated carrot and pumpkin seeds, sumac.
Smoked salmon.
Parsley from Kilbrack farm.
Sandwich in a cob, wheaten bread and cheese and basil pesto pasta.
And milk.
Yeah, I would have preferred your dinner Sande NOM NOM!
Tell us about the cheese… looks like cheddar?
Tastes like strong mature cheddar. Not exactly sure of its provenance. My SuperValu use it in their restaurant and sell off the unused stuff in the evening.
Finally got around to eating the Christmas pudding. A small one between the two of us. I was starving an hour later so made a kebab.
The hot smoked salmon broke up as I was trying to heat it.
Radish, parsley and butter bean salad. Yoghurt and white miso with dill.
Gave Paris Texas in Kilkenny another chance. Winner winner this time. From the top, ribs with applewood BBQ sauce, tempura prawns with a delicious lemongrass and chilli mayo and crispy kale for starters. For mains, jambalaya and braised featherblade of beef, which was melt in the mouth.
I surprisingly loved the crispy kale as it's not a vegetable I enjoy and the mayo with the prawns was outstanding. And the frizzled onions are addictive! And I don't really like onions.
Very glad we tried again.
Boring but nice peppers, mushrooms, spuds and brown bread.
And milk again. Is there something happens in the dairy industry that I haven't heard of? SuperValu, Tesco and Aldi all seem to have overstocked this week and are selling it off before it hits it's BBD.
Streaky rashers, scallions, tomatoes and a smidge of coleslaw in fresh crusty rolls for us last night.
”Heatwave Enchiladas” 😀😀😀
Lamb chops with fried new potatoes and onions.
When I cut the ends off the Tortilla wraps so they fit the baking tray, back in the oven later for snacks 😀😀
Upcycled ❤️
manooshet from Izz last night ❤️
Nothing too fancy for me today.
I can never make my hot dogs look pretty, but it was very yummy.

Father's Day, but still did the cooking. Sirloin, charred veg and hasseback potatoes. Put a bit of ghee with the oil this time.
wow wow wow (and i don't even eat a lot of red meat.. but this I would)
Started off as Papperdelle Primavera (veg pasta), but I wanted prawns too. So call it whatcha want..
Mushrooms, asparagus, fresh peas, & roasted cherry tomatoes.
Sticky pork mince, sauteed chard, chilli cucumber and pickled carrots.
Roast pork (sous vide), mushroom cider cream sauce, cauliflower and cheese, roasted fennel, leek and onions.
Chorizo and smoked basa spanish bean stew with pan fried hake.
Such great dinners there…
I'll have just a sweet potato, canned herring in pepper sauce with spinach and peas.
Saturday was fillet steak and fried mushrooms, with a chicken fillet that needed using up, which was coating in olive oil, herbs and parsley. Got these mushrooms in Dunnes, first time having them and they were lovely. Will definitely get them again.
This evening was chicken fillets coated in olive oil, paprika, sumac, parsley and chipotle chilli flakes and airfried. Served in a roll with potato salad, coleslaw, lettuce, tomato, scallion, cheese and mayo. Delicious, but so messy, ended up finishing them with a knife and fork. 😂
Really need to think of other ways to have chicken fillets, my go-to is usually a roll or wrap with salad etc.
Salad days are back.
My version of Irish Mammy salad :)
