Creating a new discussion as I didn't see one specifically for this vacancy.

Closing Date: 3pm on Thursday 13th November 2025
Below are the relevant docs.
@jecca1 Thank you! Yeah I start towards the end of June. Oh that's great to hear, glad it's going well for you!
I got kind of an unusual placement which isn't the usual desk job CO position but I'm happy to take it for the experience.
A two month lead up time seems very long no?
@GippyGup I don't really know to be honest. I presume for the temp CO positions, a lot of it is covering for people over the summer.
For anyone on the Galway list, some interviews took place last week, OOM just over 50.
Cheers for the update, do let us know when you hear about placement
Yep, did mine last week and just got confirmation I passed. Email said they will reach out again if and when a position becomes available to complete the clearance process. Mid 50s OOM.
Hi! I hope you assignment is going well… I'm in OOM mid 300, got interview a few weeks ago and now waiting, could I ask roughly your OOM? just getting anxious to her back!!!
@DubsyD Hi thank you very much. I'm starting my assignment at the end of June. My OOM is in the 120s. I had my interview I think it was 3rd week of February and about a bit over a month later I started the clearance process. I got my offer early May. Hope that helps give you an idea of the timescale.
It does! Thank you very much!
Hi there Please can anyone give me some examples of the dept we could get jobs in? First time applying for CO and totally new career path for me I've an interview next week seems pretty straight forward. Thanks for all the tips from this thread x
It depends on what area you applied for, there's different departments in every county. If you just google government departments in whatever county it was you applied for you should get a list.
Clare, OOM 75 and interview is this Thursday. Anyone know if they're interviewing in batches or interviewing individually? I didn't think Clare would ever reach 75.
They appear to be doing patches this year but yeah 75 seems very down the line. I don't think they've interviewed 75 in Galway yet
This is so frustrating. 75 in clare and 3 in Kilkenny.
Agreed, it feels very slow this year. I was under the understanding that the EU Presidency would increase demand (due to start end of June) but it's hard to see how it can catch last year
does anyone know what OOM they are at in Dublin? Thanks
TCO OOM for Clare = 75
Undertook the interview last Thursday May 28th and just received my results back this afternoon Monday June 2nd.
Happy to say I passed.
Now on to the waiting game. Hoping I see a contract longer than 8 weeks, fingers crossed.
Congrats! Thanks for keeping us updated
Hi, anyone know what OOM merit they're at for Westmeath or any update, has anyone been called for interview yet?
I’ve heard Dublin are at OOM 565
hiya sorry do you mean they are at OOM 565 in Dublin interviewing or offering work position?
interviewing
Hi, I've been offered a contract until January 2027 and I have to let them know my decision by tomorrow. Can I ask about the position details or will they cancel the offer if my reply is anything other than "Yes I accept"?
They won't cancel the offer for asking, but I'd be mindful of having an answer back to them by the deadline. You might not get much more information than your department and location though. PAS probably don't have much info on specifics of what the role will be.
Galway has called into the 80's for interview but unclear what number have actually been called for positions/clearance as they're doing interviews in batches this year
Hi I'm number 50 westmeath and interview was about 3 weeks ago.
Can I just ask if I get offered a job and i don't want to take it Can I refuse and still be on the panel or are you off panel? Thank you first time applying!
If you refuse the offer, you are off the panel.
Ok thank you
Did I hear correctly that people who chose from April to September were told that time frame was filled now?
