two nights
I'd love to go on Friday night, have no ticket though. Thinking I'll head to the area about 6/7pm or so and see if I can pick anything up. Its a while since I've done this though - are printed tickets still a thing, if someone has a printed ticket, is it likely dodgy? The ideal of course is that someone digitally transfers a ticket via ticketmaster.
Watched monsters of rock 1991 to get me in the mood🤟
There are single day tickets available right now on TM
looking like a washout unfortunately folks, so bring the rain gear!
Fcuking Irish "summer" weather.
Yeah its not looking great at all for Friday, wonder will it improve for Sundays gig
It’s probably in no way accurate but whatever app i use has any rain clearing around 7 on Friday and 8 on Sunday so hopefully won’t be too bad
wouldn’t be judging forecast this early in week given how changeable by the hour it is
as others have said, im also wary of these forecasts at the moment, but unfortunately they have been slowly dis-improving over time, but hopefully theyre all wrong, and we ll get great weather, gonna be a great weekend no matter what anyway
you are close to some of the big bars on level 5. its hard enough to say but all food units are selling alcohol on the night as well as bars so there will be lot more units selling alcohol than usual in the ground which will help service times. it really is too hard to say how long it will take but dont see it being anywhere near 20 minutes
My weather app is telling me, light showers on the day, but should be gone by time Metallica come on (Friday). Similar on Sunday. Temperature low 20s.
Wouldn't be the worse outcome.
Re beers/drinks in the Aviva, they often have wandering purveyors of such items that you can stop and buy from, or they'll be standing in aisles waiting for people to come to them.
I know last gig I was at I didn't need to go near a permanent bar once.
What's a big scam though you're charged the deposit scheme but don't get to keep the plastic bottles or cans. I know you'll unlikely want to carry them around anyway, but it's the principle.
Would they have them on the pitch?
Yeah there'll be people wandering around with a cooler bag on their back or they'll set up little points at the edge of the pitch, probably both.
What’s the beer there? Rockshore i presume
Diageo so guinness, rockshore, carlsberg on draft. then other options are Pre mixed cans vodka coke, gin and tonic, smirnoff ice and then red/white wine and prosecco
The bars we're a disaster for soccer matches the last time I was there but surly they'll know a lot of drinks will be served on the days and are prepared
Hopefully they'll be decent merch at the stadium, won't get a chance to visit the pop up in the convention centre
That's why the Lord invented hipflasks.
Plastic bottles of Carlsberg from the people with the cooler bags too, wine/prosecco I think also from what I can remember some of the others in our group buying.
Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap poncho just in case, I went into my local Penneys there and they looked at me like I had two heads when I asked them did they stock them
I picked up two in a local pound shop type thing for €2 each.
Whats was the name of your local pound shop type thing, Im stuck for options where I am living
If you can get into dublin city centre, Decathlon on o'connell street do really decent heavy duty ones for around a tenner, the hats flags and scarves lads usually have them near the venue as well, the cheap disposable ones.
forecasts backing down, we could be on the pigs back folks, thank fcuk cause im camping it
Poncho it is on friday
definitely, for the whole weekend, just encase
Just ordered one from Dunnes Stores, 5 euro
Are they available in the shop or have you to order online
I am not sure if they are in store.
Dealz have them
