Yes,it worked perfectly. I just logged into iTunes using my Turkish identity, when I received my code from Turgame I just clicked redeem in my account entered the code and it was sorted.
I got the email also. The sceptic in me is reading it as "hey - you feckers paying for the sub using a Turkish apple ID not actually in Turkey, we see you, we cant presently stop you, so feckers have to pay more going forward" 🤣
Unfortunately its more a case of the Google raising the price to cover the cost of Apple's charges which is often around 30%.

What I meant was Google have always charged roughly 30% extra when subbing through iTunes. Essentially this covers the fees Apple charges Google.

Just got the email myself, going from 105 to 155TL, for us here it's still a bargain at €2.90 a month, for someone in Turkey it's a hefty jump.

You have to feel for the Turkish consumer, all of their services have sky rocketed over the years because of the massive decline of the lira against the dollar.
This is the last 5 years, $1 went from being worth 8.25 lira to over 46. Madness.

Yep, but I suspect those who cant afford to pay dont. Illegal streaming is fairly widespread in Turkey, especially as they are football mad. But as for YT Premium itself I have no idea on the levels of adoption. It would still be one of the more reasonably legit priced subs given you get YT Music as well. Still expensive for the average punter I suspect.
I see itunes has a Windows app which you can redeem Turkish vouchers, worked for me this evening. Handier than trying to find the old turkey iPhone.
I said it earlier, just redeem your voucher through iTunes.

No. To sign up you need to use the Youtube app on an iOS (i.e. Apple) device.

No need for VPN, that's the beauty of the Apple system.
My issue is that I'm not an apple user so I've to find the old iphone, charge it up etc. Once it was setup, it is much easier (for me) to use windows app to top up
I don't use a VPN either but it's gift cards that i use. Can you just top up using a debit card?

Yes, but in my case I cant actually sign into Turkish account on iTunes for windows unless I have the vpn. I just get an error. No such issue my Irish accounts obviously.
May not be the same for yourself or others, but that what happens in my case.

Strange? What error do you get? I'm running W11 that was installed via W10 using the update route. iTunes didn't carry over so it in itself is clean install and was only ever logged into my Turkish account. Maybe try uninstalling it completely using something like Update my PC then reinstalling it.
As an aside, it's remarkably basic looking, like a windows 98 style of program with an old taskbar of options.
Maybe so. I assume iTunes app is failing to handshake correctly with Apples authentication servers due to some kind of mismatch. But given I only need to top up my sub a couple of times a year, I couldnt be arsed troubleshooting when simply switching on my VPN sorts me. I get this error.
