I'm old enough to remember him in the Nescafe adverts.. great ads that were like a story.. He was also in Little Britain as the Prime minister character. RIP
He was very good in Ted Lasso also.

Ah sh*te. Loved him as Giles and always loved seeing him pop up in various things. Always a solid choice no matter the role. There were rumours he wasn't well during the last season Ted Lasso (he looked a bit more gaunt and stiff) but that seemed to pass.
That's the third Buffy star to have died in little over a year too.

The role of Adam Klaus was originally cast to Anthony Head in 1997 in the pilot episode ("The Wrestler's Tomb"). However, after accepting the role of Rupert Giles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Head was unable to play Adam Klaus in later episodes, leaving the way clear for Stuart Milligan to take over the role.
RiP. I'm of that generation that will always associate him with the Nescafe ads. As well as Buffy he was also the original Adam Klaus in Jonathan Creek, just in the opening episode.

I will always remember him as Uther Pendragon in BBC's brilliant Merlin. He was superb in that role, really owned it.

Tv and Movie character actor James Handy stabbed to death at 81.
He lost his partner in December to cancer. Nicholas Brendan passed in March. Something I didn't know until recently, is that the body and the immune system can be severely weakened due to grief and mourning. When the immune system is compromised, it can leave folks vulnerable to infection. I genuinely have pity for his children. I've been going through my own journey with grief, at the moment. But to lose both parents within months of one another is incredibly difficult.
Heartbreak is a very real thing, even though it might not be a technical term. Look at Marjane Satrapi.
Marion Fossett of Fossetts Circus, has died aged 71. As a singer she was one third of the lineup of Sheeba, who represented Ireland at the Eurovision in 1981 with "Horoscopes (coming fifth).

I feel like there will be more info about Marjane Satrapi in weeks to come, so I don't want otspeculate too much on what happened to her, but she had suffered from depression before her passing.
I read that she had lost her husband and she hadn't been the same since. She's a famous case, but I've had relatives lose a spouse only to die the same day/a day later/on the anniversary, etc and I've heard of others, too.
Patrick Godfrey, aged 93, already mentioned in the movie thread. Two of his major tv roles were in Doctor Who, as Tor in the almost entirely lost William Hartnell serial "the Savages" and Major Cosworth in Jon Pertwee serial "Mind Of Evil". Was also in episodes of the Bill, Inspector Morse and Doc Martin.
He was in The Split also, as the long absent dad who came back for the wedding in series one.
Gillad Janklowicz aged 71. FIitness instructor whose show, Bodies In Motion, was heavily syndicated worldwide.
British artist David Hockney has died aged 88. One of the giants the art world from about the mid 60s onwards and a constant presence in television documentaries.

Sam Dastor, Indian born, British based actor has died aged 84. Turned up in a lot of 70s and 80s UK tv, often cast as exotic or ethnic characters . He was in the second series of Space 1999 as Dr Ed Spencer. Was also in I, Claudius and in episodes of Hazell, Coronation St, Blakes 7, Crown Court etc. He played Gandhi onscreen twice, in the 1986 ITV mini series Mountbtton, The Last Viceroy and in the 1998 film Jinnah.
Always adapted too. Started using digital media to create his art. Didn't fear technology like too many artists do. I didn't connect with his artwork, but I respected him as an artist. Thought he was really inspirational.
Gene Shalit, longtime film critic for NBCs the Today Show and instantly recognisable with his glasses, bushy hair & eyebrows and moustache, has died aged 100. He had voice cameos as versions of himself on the Critic and Spongebob Squarepants and the Muppet Show had a puppet based on him (only appeared in the pilot "Sex And Violence".) Family Guy did several cutaway gags parodying him as well.
Ronnie Schell has died aged 94. Best known for playing Duke Slater in Gomer Pyle USMC and voicing Jason in the Battle of The Planets animated series.
Sally Grace aged 75, UK comedy actress who was mainly known for radio. Also did voiceover work for the Animals Of Farthing Wood as Charmer, one of the fox characters. Also did voice work for Mr Bean The Animated Series, Noahs Island plus playing the Queen in sketches for Alistair McGowans Big Impression.
