Any suggestions for parking today for a speedy exit on Bundoran side ?
Because now if you lose today you have a 50/50 chance of getting either Kerry or Donegal in the final round.
Win today and you are in the QF and have a week off.
Mayo can't get Donegal in the next round if we lose today as we'd be in the same pot. We would have a 1/3 chance of drawing Kerry as they can't play Donegal again. However we would also have a 1/3 chance of drawing Kerry if Cork had won for the same reason.
So I can't see how the result yesterday made a difference to Mayo.
As far as I no if lose we cant get donegal we would be in same bowl as them as it stands it would be kerry or meath and the winner off dub or cavan today we cant get monaghan. Anyways that's for later we hopefully go straight trow to Q/F today.

I dont think so as we won our first game same as donegal.
After losing 2 games I don't think Donegal are the fearsome prospect they appeared to be. They can be very good on their day but not showing much consistency.

You can’t pass up that goal chance, absolutely criminal. You go from dealing the game to likely losing it.

My god, he was like an old man out. But my god what was Sam doing, just pass the ball for an open goal and win the game. Overall we were much better and certainly didn’t get many of the 50/50 calls from the ref . Will likely have tougher opposition the next day out.
Sam had a once off golden opportunity to kill the game and win the game, either take it himself or the easier chance of passing it. He fcuked up, end of.
Surely it’s drilled into O’Shea, you do not take on the last attempt unless time is up. Get it to the shooters. He has to be the last man on the pitch you want taking that on.

Nice for roscommon to have won the preseason competition,thats about yer level.

Aiden O Shea will get dogs abuse for that.
Loads of people will be coming out of the woodwork to offer their 2c about him.
But the problem is Mayo don't know how to play situational football.
Aiden should not have been there to take on that shot, it should have been the likes of Kobe or ROD, or Conroy, a forward that can score.
They need to work on that, get the ball to the shooters when the clock is ticking down.
We saw it way back last spring in Tralee where Mayo had Brickenden taking the last shot to win a game, missing it and then Kerry working the ball up the field to make sure David Clifford got the last shot off to win the game.
Mayo need to get that sort of stuff right.
Overall decent performance.
AOS an easy target but he rightly messed up there.

Not taking the goal chance when it came was the difference in that game. 2 on 1 and went for the handy option of fisting it over the bar. You won't win games in the new rules by playing safe.
The Callinan point is Mayo in a nutshell. Had a chance to kill the game and had neither the guts nor the vision.
I didn't really but regularly read here as I'm from a split household and that irked me.
Regularly see similar here but usually somewhat reasoned.
The day any group should be mocked for celebrating winning a provincial would baffle me.
