While searching for a fix for City Car Driving on PC (only works with meta link / air link but with stutters) I came across this new Learn Driving type Simulator in Reddit that runs natively on Quest:

It's free but has some in app purchases.
Going to give it a go just for some relaxing driving, like I used to do in Euro Track Simulator 2...
😀
Will report back!

Demeo Battlemarked on sale now, but i also found you can use promo code ontop of it too.
I got extra 10% off with QGO, but u can prob use a 15% code if you want to get one off me to test...pm me if interested
Road Ready VR was pretty cool for a small devs game. The free version includes free roam.
The traffic system is very janky and like most open world games the graphics of the landscape are just 2d backgrounds. There's a very basic "highway" in the map also.
The interior is nice looking but using the Grab buttons with the wheel is hard to control when steering at higher speeds.
I managed to get City Car Driving on PCVR going a bit better, using 1.5x resolution upscale and there's minimal stuttering when turning your head. So I'll probably focus on that simulator for a while.
But it's nice to have standalone driving simualor on quest.
Standalone version looking well!
Back playing Wrath Aeon of Ruin...working my way through chapter 2 with the new updates to navigation which makes it much easier not to get lost!
Such an addictive game, and huge Ive been at Chapter 2 around 9 hours now
Anyone get OS 2.5 update?
Apparently new home environment setup. Horizon Worlds is no more.
Nothing for me as yet…
Just a warning in case anyone has a Saqico Q8-3 battery strap for the quest 3/3S.
A user had theirs explode while charging it and posted it on a Facebook group to warn people! Luckily it wasn't on their face at the time!
Seems like they're sold on Amazon UK:

The 3rd and 4th pic were taken before it exploded.
Best to stick to known brands such as BOBOVR and AMVR.
I have a BOBOVR S3 Pro strap and 2x B100 batteries on the way and it's making me a tad paranoid! 🤣
Will be selling the M3 Pro strap, with 2x B2 batteries and the dual battery dock for the B2's soon.
QGO got a big update:
https://www.reddit.com/r/QuestGamesOptimizer/comments/1u2t40c/qgo_v1400_is_here_fidelityfx_cas_meta_quest_super
Jesus that's shocking!
I dont like using fast charge in general as batteries do heat up. Especially 80% to 100% charge.
If Im in no hurry I like to stick to 5V whenever I can.
Awesome lots to test out there
Is this any good, or is it a placebo?
What? QGO?
Night and day
Id say its the 2nd thing everyone should buy for Quest after Walkabout Mini Golf 😃
I was playing Wrath Aeon of Ruin on "performance" mode for ages, then couple of days ago I went for the HD+ mode… it was like putting on a snorkel mask whereas before I was looking through the water with my own eyes
Actually made the game a lot scarier too with the sharper visuals
Funny thing is, on HD+ mode it was practically the same performance.. doh

Gamertag VR's video on Quest Games Optimizer updates:
I only had a look at the last game called Rustmourne in the last chapter of the video and it looks class. Creepy af.
It's Steam VR only though.
Edit: heres the dedicated trailer:
Good to know, I'm shopping around for a decent head strap/battery to replace the stock one. Kids play on it too so definitely want something reputable. He's lucky it wasn't on his face at the time, that's madness.
I had some 2 metre stealth cables with magnetic connector when we got PS5. To charge dualsense controllers.
Also had some powerbanks about so when we got quest I just used those. Powerbank in my pocket and a small bit of velcro to hold the cable in place beside Quest charge port. Magnetic connector protects the port.
I see a lot of people here saying it's good to have the battery strap as counter weight which makes sense. Powerbanks are just another option.
Watched the showcase kinda shocking how much indie stuff on there, very little big budget stuff
A lot of kid stuff which I guess is the main market now
The only Quest game that interested me was Bomb the Hill but turns out I've already got it wishlisted.
Dark Trip and Cave Crave updates were good, but I already own those, and they were just updates rather than new releases.
Funny no mention of Postal 2 though, hope it's not far off.
Goddammit my eyes have finally given up this month. Looks like I need to be four-eyed all the time now...before I just needed glasses to rest my eyes when looking at the monitor but was always OK using VR without them.
Now everything is slightly "disjointed" or worse blurred till I put the specs on. Damn you age shakes fist
What are the best inserts to use and do I use the long distance or short distance prescription?
You can get lenses that match your glasses prescription, not sure how much they are but a few friends swear by them for long sessions as glasses become uncomfortable after a short while.
Yeah defo dont want to risk putting glasses under the headset as im sure weight will damage frame over time
Also certainly wouldn't want to do anything that might get sweaty too
My eyes are still hanging in for now but nearly all recommendations Ive seen are for these:
https://www.vr-wave.store/products/meta-quest-3-prescription-lenses
I guess another option is contact lenses which could also work out as my prescription tends to change a lot year to year (newly 4-eyed in last couple years y'see)
Yeah the vr wave would be costly for multiple sets or even 1 set if for some reason they dont work out. AliExpress have them for 14 euro with very good reviews. Could be worth a punt just to see if they're suitable...

I have my BOBOVR M3 Pro Strap with 2x B2 batteries, twin battery charging dock, and some unused cushions up on adverts in the link above.
If anyone from here is interested I'll do a discount.
Thats a brilliant find, thanks for sharing it. My last set of Quest 2 prescription lenses cost me €71 with no anti glare or blue light back in late 2021. I've just ordered quest 3 lenses with both coatings and prescription for the princely sum of €31.59
Tried Fidelity FX mode last night with Wrath Aeon of Ruin.
Unbelievable quality upgrade! So much depth added too so the levels appear even larger as I can see farther (even with my fscked up eyes)
Also tried the Meta sharpening mode but either looked the same or worse.
So FidelityFX looks like the way to go.
