So…presales are on. How confident are we all feeling?
there is a carpooling group in the BTP WhatsApp group if you’ve no luck here https://ctrk.klclick1.com/l/01KT9PEQRYQDCQ14ZWHT6FZVDQ_9
Any link to the WhatsApp group?
great to be drinking heineken again rather than rockshore at irish live music.
last time i was there they had corona on draft and seemed to mention having Corona 0.0 as the alchohol free option so disappointed thats not there.
Just saw the last bus down on Marathon appears to be 5pm - i expected a later after work option like 6.30/7pm.
Or maybe its been sold out for later times
What are people's tips for good stuff to see outside the main stages?
that post has a link to the WhatsApp group
Here It is again in link format
Shakalak on Puc Fada stage Sunday night very good
Curtisy on the 2fm stage sat late
Well that's me all set up to travel to the festival site today, will update Rubick with weather updates of the site, photos I seen yesterday it looked nice and sunny.
Raging I'm not going this year, have a ball everyone
Looking forward to your updates, be nice to know what ground conditions are like, it would be nice not to have to wear boots or waterproofs, chilling on the grass this weekend would be a bonus
Forecast is looking better again today! A little cooler but less rain.
Which campsite is best for people who want to sleep and are too old for campsite sessions?
They are all prety chill tbh but I suppose the further back you are is better.
I might be arriving later Friday or even Saturday afternoon.
Last time in went in 2024 i was in the campervans area - does the campsite be full or relatively spacious to set up sat afternoon? i probably will have to put my tent by itself if friends are already full up around them.
also was the car park far from campsite? ill be getting bus down but might have to collect my cans from friends car - he prob wont be too impressed if its a massive trek back out with me!
There is an overflow campsite on the planning application this year so I'd say you will have no issues finding a spot. The carpark depends on where you friends get to park. If they are in the main carpark it's a max 10 min walk from the campsite. If they are arriving later on Friday they might end up in the over flow car park which is a long way from the campsite.
Are there any shops/vendors that sell ice on site?
There wasnt the last couple of years anyway
The can chiller guy wasn't there the last couple of years either as I recall, or was that only a Body and Soul thing. I'm getting old.
they posted on the app now you can bring 4 cans in - but i saw someone on the whatsapp group saying this could be 4 opened cans? that would be a nightmare.
I don't know if the person is thinking this cause of the 1 open can policy last year.
Can man was there two years back but not last year. It would be great to have him back.
They actually replied on the cans now saying "No, you can bring 4 cans in, 3 of which can be closed, into the arena. Alcohol allowances are as per usual into the festival. 24 cans or 1.5 litres or 1 litre of spirits"
i wonder why the change of heart on this - will definitely be spending less on pints now
ATN has set the bar with free flow and btp targeting same audience. The one open can rule came off as stupidity.
Tbh, plenty of booze will still be bought was the case last year, only really saw bars emptying towards end of night. Cocktail place was always busy.
Will be interesting to see how Stendhal handle it this year. In 2025 they doubled down and it was absolutely zero coming booze into the arena, not even open. So can on the way down and then carry thru Irish coffee was on the menu for me!
Just looked through the clunky app timetable and there's a few acts missing so possible changes.
So far that's only on the 2fm Outpost stage. Annoying as I wanted to see them both!
I've updated the clashfinder to reflect possible cancellations and and further timetable changes. I can keep it updated till Thursday AM - after that I'm on the mobile only so can't edit it any futher.
Always gonna be a few changes...
Van loading tomorrow and we're rocking up Thursday. Ahhh been too long!
Not all heroes wear a cape. Fair play
Who are your not so headliner tips?
I'm looking forward to seeing:
Rois
Bricknasty
Kojaque
Curtisy
Kittin (formerly Ms. Kitten)
Sunil Sharpe
CC Disco
Paddy Hanna
Dove Ellis
New Dad
Tuki
Will just be glad to get through Belfast without having the car burnt out at this point. :/
Sama Abdulhadi (highly recommend, best set of festival last year)
Mr Scruff
Horace Andy, annoyed there is a Dove Ellis clash
Caribou
Sister Sledge
Glasshouse in the early Sunday afternoon sunshine (hopefully)
Loads of other bits and bobs
Marie Davidson, Dug, Ela Minus all very high on my list.
Cliffords did a cracking set at ATN last year if indie rock is your thing
Do Tinlicker count as “not a headliner”? If Sama and her style is heavier than your preference, but you still want a proper dance, head to see them instead.
Loʻffer and Soulwax
Been deep diving since way back in the thread and away from the three mainstages i'll be checking out these;
Dose, Maicin, Zeztra, Croithe, Mischa & the Bear, Sei Green, Jessica Doolan Evan Gildersleeve. (+ Run the Red and MayKay if still playing.)
Obviously already keen for Overhead The Albatross, pretty much closing the festival as well, what a finish, tho will still stumble to Shakalak if I'm still mobile!
