Has anyone been offered a place in July placement yet? When do they usually offer places before next starting date??
As vetting is conducted on an individual basis time frames differ.So offers for places are continuous once vetting is complete right up I believe until the Friday before intake date.
Takes forever tho
They had 40 no shows on the first day for the latest intake. So I'm expecting something different for this July intake. But I'm not holding my breathe
Is there anyone from a constituency on here that has a Minister in it.
Could maybe direct a question at their clinic to see what is holding up all Vetting Applications.
2 of my 3 TD's are party leaders...have spoken to one who said They would ask the question when They get the opportunity(tbf to that person They will ask) @Paddy 42

Well in terms of figures 209 started in the College in May, so ide say 40 No shows is not accurate.Could be wrong though.
209 offered a place. 201 started training. 8 no show so more than likely deffered. courtesy of the AI
I did hear they were finding it difficult to fill places in the college but that was over 2 years ago. Again, could be inaccurate. I'm sure once graduated many are not happy with the job, the location they've been allocated ect…
Wondering if they will soon begin to slow down the amount of recruitment needed as a financial crash is looming.

How detailed is the vetting form are they just focusing on any past convictions?

Im almost 30 and they went as far back as me drinking one can of cider at a disco when I was 13. So yeah they know everything about you. That was one of two interactions I’ve ever had and they wanted every little detail about something I done 17 years ago.
I say there’s a lot of that. Im single, no kids and no college degree, (almost qualified as a spark if you would count that) so this was a very calculated decision that I made. It would suit the likes of me down to the ground but other people have other life circumstances and obviously own personal interests and get a reality check when on the job. If I don’t hear word back in 6 months Im just going to join the Army.
Love to know how they evaluate vetting though. Assuming convictions would disqualify you?
Are they expecting zero interactions? penalty points? ect..
