tickets for 2026 going on sale to general public on Friday 31st august
Hope I’m wrong but getting the vibe this might be their weakest lineup yet lol.
Kate Nash as the nostalgic pop act puts a smile on my face to be fair 😀
Yeah, Jacob was great in the Button Factory. Sensitive singer songwriter types are not everyone's cuppa but they have some beautiful songs and a lovely, witty line of banter that puts a smile on your face and leaves everyone heading off feeling a bit better about life. I highly recommend.
I've already got more than 20 acts I wanna see, and 8-9 are damn near must sees. Like OK, not everyone's gonna like my picks but if this is weak pickings I dont think we're badly off. Lots of cracking music to experience and I'm yet to have a less than stellar weekend at Curraghmore.
Both Weval and O'Flynn will be fantastic. I've seen them both over the last 2 months and they were both excellent. O'Flynn has that rich afro bassy sound and Weval were very dancey too, if that's what you're into. Both somewhat emerging acts with heaps of banging tunes under their belts.
I think there’s something for most people in that lil announcement. And like someone else said I’m yet to have a bad weekend at curraghmore, though other than the nostalgia for Kate Nash I don’t know many of the other acts. The brass band has some excellent covers on Spotify and could see them being fun for a (hopefully) sunny afternoon at the band stand.
But a lot of the festival’s charm is wandering around and discovering music you might never have selected. Bring it on!
I saw the Hot 8 Brass Band twice last year (Academy and Whelan's) and they were a lot of fun both times - a few covers mixed in with their own tunes. They're a nice addition to the bill :)
Couldn't find these on Spotify?
Do you mean just those 8 acts or the whole thing?
Yeah they're the one from this announcement I'm most excited about. Their cover of sexual healing is so good
Would ye say that's it for announcements? I see they've a new stage which i presume is a rebranded lovely days stage! So could ther be another announcement with its reveal?
A little weak on big acts so far but I still know ill have a super weekend exploring.
Death in Vegas have some new music out... possibility?
Been mad to see Swimming Paul for the past year so…yay!
Any relation to Barry Can't Swim?
1st cousin of Teddy Swims
Delighted with Swimming Paul & O'Flynn additions...
Bandcamp only at the moment I think. I had to buy it on CD of all things! For the uninitiated, it's Paul Page of Whipping Boy and Dave Long of Into Paradise.
😂 nope but maybe he's trolling Barry Can't Swim with a name like that!
Delighted with KhakiKid announcement. He's had some big songs since he last performed on the Jameson stage in '23, and played a big set at EP last year which got great reviews.
Now to keep crossing my fingers for Kojaque, F3mii, MOIO and Curtisy!
Curtisy is at BTP next week. Not sure if that rules him out.
Bar Kate Nash, I’m not sure of any of the other announcement’s work. Look forward to doing a bit of research!
I wouldn't have said so, that level of artists have definitely doubled up before.
Was at Rufus du Sol last month and I thought Weval stole the show, will definitely be checking them out again
Weval - what sort of music you talking about?
Seen Weval in the workmans about 3 years ago, they were class. They have certainly gone up a few levels since then, their live show looks great. Unmissable for me
Swimming Paul, also known as a poor mans Fred Again
Unfair IMO.
If those lads could all seperate themselves into their favourite strokes, it would be a lot less confusing. Barry could be Backstroke Barry etc. Just an idea.
Different strokes, for different folks.
That lake at Curraghmore House criminally underused. Fire them in it. 5pm: 300m Freestyle Mincing
6.30pm: 800m Trance Disguised as Techno Breast Stroke
7.15pm: Aqua
I think you're on to something rubick.
