I randomly pick up these type of stains on my clothes, not sure where they come from. Thing is, they never seem to come out, no matter what I try.
Any ideas? For reference, these are 2 hoodies.
Is it food grease? If so put Brown paper over the stain place a towel or cloth over it then use an Iron. The paper will soak up any grease.
It looks like some kind of grease, it's better to treat before washing.
Wet with warm water and use washing up liquid, give it a scrub and leave for about an hour before washing as normal. You could try it on clothes you've already washed but might need to repeat a few times.
They could come from oil as you fry, food you've eaten or from your hands when they touch off your clothes.

Gall soap is supposed to work. You should be able to buy it in a health shop.
I would love to know how you get on. I have a special dress that got a grease stain on it and unfortunately I didn't notice until after it had been washed. It's much more difficult to shift grease at that point. I've tried washing up liquid and baking soda but nothing has worked so far. I haven't tried the paper trick with the iron but as far as I know, that only works if it hasn't been washed yet.
I have bought some gall soap but haven't tried it yet. I have read that sunlight is supposed to be good too so I'm going to give it a wash with the gall soap and then leave it out in the sun the next time we get a nice sunny day.
Try the brown paper trick anyway, it can still help but obviously won't work as well as on a fresh stain.
I just thought I'd update. I used the gall soap combined with a lot of sun exposure and it has been 99% effective. There's the faintest trace left, barely visible. I'd say another application will get rid of it. I'd say it would be worthwhile for you to give it a try!
I accidentally found Cif works on these stains. I pulled everything I owned that had a stain including a white Linen Ralph lauren shirt destroyed on a bouncy castle slide a few years bk and it worked. My son also gets these grease stains on his hoodies and I leave on for few mins use an old toothbrush then pop in wash. Vanish has never worked on anything waste of money.
where do you get gall soap?
I got it in a small local health shop. You know the kind of place that sells vitamins and other natural health products.
