it’s not. It’s a few minutes walk, even furthest way spots about 10 or 15 min walk to arena
Question for the campervanners- I assume there is no dish wash up facilities on-site? Just a cold tap type of thing?
I'd love to go Sunday for the day but jeez 2 tickets over €300.
A Saturday ticket can be had for 166.75 incl fees. It's undeniably steep but at least tell the truth and leave the oddball posting to one side.
There's a bank of sinks / trough plus cold taps next to the hot showers trailer.

I simply mentioned that first price I saw on TM for a sarurday ticket. Whether it’s €166 or 199 plus tm fees for Saturday or €144 plus tm for Sunday, The day ticket are stupidly priced and is putting people off going.
Seems to me there is no shortage of people willing to shell out for one off gigs and festivals at the moment in Ireland. I doubt the price is an issue at all. BTP is much closer to Dublin than ATN. ATN is a beautiful site but I'd rather not walk 40,000 steps in one day.. you know yourself, once you get into a festival it becomes tricky to see every act you want to see on the bill. I've been to enough festivals (approx 60 festivals) to know that all the bells and whistles mean **** all once you're on site. Now I know that is just how I feel about all the ancilliary stuff, not everyone feels the same. BTP offers a great selection of acts to see, ease of getting around a smaller site, and for me anyway is the closest I've been from home to site for any festival in Ireland. Obviously that's not the case for all. I think the social media campaign has been the best one I've seen of any festival in years.. is it cause to worry that they've been really pushing it, or is it a case of doing their job really well? I guess we will know soon enough.
The 199 is for the day ticket + access to the roundtower area, it's 166 for just a day ticket, the price is still steep but if you look at the price for the day ticket at forrest fest for the saturday its around 120, and as far as I can tell BTP have more stages and a longer music program so the price is benchmarked to a degree
People with a Saturday ticket have gotten away with staying for the Sunday too in the past

Offically no, there's no festivals that offically permit it. But yes if its inside your camper.
Yeah I think it's a condition of festival insurance policies. I've brought my caravan to all the festivals countless times and always brought gas and never got hassle. Just don't leave the cylinder visible, put it in the gas locker or hide it under something. There's always a chance some jobsworth will take it if they see it.
Sane advice goes for all the other things the list that are banned in campervans/ caravans. Everyone brings then anyway but don't have them just sitting there visible if you look in the door at inspection time and you'll be fine.
Trusty sacrificial old workboots at the ready as usual... tbh that's my choice of fest shoes anyway!

There was some heavy downpours during the Sugarhill Gang's set in the afternoon but weather was pretty decent after that.

Absolutely lashed on Friday night at Jon Hopkins on main stage. The weather got gradually better throughout the weekend, Sunday was an absolute scorcher.
Walking boots all the way. Ive a decent jacket with matching waterproof trousers, which Ive never used at a BTP (been to them all). Have vague memories of rain at Jon Hopkins as mentioned above. Cant remember a drop of rain last year…..this means zero! Needed the full set at at least 1 ATN and more than 1 EP.
I can live with "any" weather as long as its not wet when putting up the tent....nothing worse.

It will be a shame if it rains for two weeks before as that will put a lot of people off buying tickets. Organisers probably pulling their hair out.
Fairly sure Carlow weather put up something yesterday suggesting a more settled high pressure period from 11th onwards so fingers crossed
