Does anyone find it strange that when a Congolese gentleman dies on the street, the usual leftie **** put down their paddystinian rags, just long enough to cry about rascism etc

This, and the subsequent protests get wall to wall MSM coverage.

Yet, when an Irishman is callously murdered by ‘2 youths’ there is **** all about it !!

arriving at Dublin Airport and joining the scrum to board a 16 bus for a journey that takes over an hour for the few miles into the city is like arriving in the third world after being in a functioning European country. Get over it, nothing works in Ireland.

My colleagues who volunteered in the same third-world country as me were robbed under gun-point in the tuk-tuk taxi and their phones taken. The police didn’t even bother to listen as they tried to file a police report. Our colleagues told them that the robbing could have been so much worse and that they were lucky. I just see so many parallels with your prolonged wait and journey to Dublin City Centre. My commiserations.

I work in hospitals in a non medical role but can testify the treatment you receive is first class. You might have to queue but once you are in the system you are looked after superbly. The issue is the same as housing, the more arrivals into the country will invariably place more demands on housing, the health service, education etc. At some point we’ll have to say as a small country we can only accommodate so many while taking in the workers we need

I left Dublin Airport on Wednesday evening, got straight on to a coach to red cow, straight on to a luas out to Tallaght. Total journey time was 50 minutes. What does that prove? Nothing, the same as your story.

The social media rubberneckers would have been sharing it whatever the skin colour, ethnicity etc. tbh..

Nearly from the moment he died, there were comparisons to george floyd. Calls of systemic racism, "no justice no peace", "his only crime was being black" its got international coverage and I'd say its only getting started tbh...

you may have noticed that there is no Luas from the airport into the city, not needed obviously with only a mere c 35m (and rising) passengers using the airport per annum. The bewildered tourists I see getting thrown off the bus for not having cash are going into the city centre and not Tallaght.

There has been extensive coverage about the terrible death of the man detained outside Arnotts not only from local media, politicians and public representatives, INAR, the special rapporteur, and group protests, but also from Amnesty Intl, IHCR, Irish Civil Liberties, CBC Canada, The Times, Reuters, ABC News, BBC, The Guardian, Chan4 among many others.

To say the coverage of that death has been the same as the reports about the death of the man in Blanchardstown is really just ignoring reality. The stark difference is obvious in the response from numerous sources and for example TD Holly Cairns, called Sakila a son, a brother and a friend in the Dail, while outside the Dail, Senator Eileen Flynn called him a hero whose legacy will live on in this country.

Neither mentioned anything (that I can find) about the poor man who was brutally kicked to death in Blanchardstown.

I understand why AGS asked that no video footage of the Blanchardstown attack be circulated online out of respect for the victims family, but why are our politicians and MSM raising questions and commenting about one tragedy and ignoring the other.

I honestly don’t understand why the brutal and videotaped attack that resulted in a local man’s tragic death seems less deserving of public outcry.
