Same as that. Cows were cycling a few weeks ago, but not really since. Scanned last Friday to confirm as much. Put a few cidr’s in to get them going. The heat coming will bring the rest bulling. What cidr program are you using on the cows as a matter of interest?

I use a simple program. 3 runs up the crush.
Day 1 - CIDR + 2ml Gnrh
Day 7 - Remove CIDR + 2ml Prostglandin
Day 10 Fixed time AI + 2ml Gnrh
This program worked very well for me last year. You can do more trips up the crush with more injections but I can just about get the older cows in on the third day. For younger cows I’ll AI again on day 11 morning.
That’s a straight forward program in fairness. How are you with timings on day 7 and 10? Would you be evening day 7 pull, and Ai early day 10? I gave 2 cows a shot of estrumate last Friday. 1 was bulling 48 hours later, the other 72 hours. I’d be thinking somewhere in the middle might be the sweet spot. Its far enough back to not cause problems. Most LM bulls are closely Bred the gene pool used by the Ai companies is very small with the odd exception of an outcross.
Im not looking at the replacement index looking at a bull like this. My system is selling weanlings in autumn so I'm looking at a good terminal bull that has the potential to bring U & E grade calfs. Im also not interested in sections or heavy jacking. Not easy on man or beast. I'm just curious jas anyone used this bull with success (no big calving drama) and to what type of cow.

Any cow i was thinking of using him on would be double F94L carriers. Don't want sections either so if he's cruel hard I'd avoid. Have seen some serious stock go through sales rings after him.

Ive used claddagh mccabe for the first time this year on a 3rd calving cow. I know a couple of men that have used a lot of him with no issues on second calving limousin cows and more mature blue cows. Like all bulls with the double q gene you can have bigger calves if the nt and q gene click. If using on a double f carrier cow with a good history of calving you should have no issues. He is breeding very well from the photos/videos I've seen.
Think he's gone to €50 a straw this year also
I have a cow who calved 66 days ago on the 19th March. She had one heat, then 20 days later she had another so I Ai’d her.
11 days later she is now coming in heat this evening trying to jump on other cows and bull calves are following her around. I’ll check her later again if she is standing when other cows mount her but it looks like she is having a short cycle. Google says causes can be a cystic ovary
What is the ideal thing to do here? AI her tomorrow with a shot of GnrH
Or put her on a 10 day Cidr program
if it was me and she came bulling like that again I would just ai her. Usually don’t repeat when the come cycling at 9-11 days.
AI tech said she was in normal heat and while it’s very unusual it happens so I gave 2ml GnrH. Find out in 11 or 20 days if she held.
I was told before those 10/11 day heats were a great heat. We have bulled a cow before after bulling her first at day 1 and she held to the day 10 serve. Just keep an eye on her from now on that she doesn’t go again on day 10.

Ardlea Rigby - gone to 4 stars now for Docility. He was at 2 stars for a while. Looking to be a great bull now.
Excel LM4017 - looking good for Milk & Fertility now. This on top of good terminal figures.
only have the one calf. Hasn’t just cleaned off aswel but as other calves. But calf had a navel infection and a touch of a chill in the first month of life. Calf is off a earp cow.

Iv two aswel very similar one is Rigby one is Rolex. The Rolex comes up to me in the field. The rigby is quiet but abit more standoffish. Have 2 Rembrandts also very quiet looking for a scratch
on docility, have a lovely powerful proper heifer but she seems to wildish and disappointingly have a tomscoice scorpion heifer off a very quiet blue cow who is stone mad
Only talking to a guy yesterday who said that Tomschoice Scorpion was breeding better than Tomchoice Lexicon. Breeding bigger animals, he said.

Remember back when brass tags were on the go, had a quite limo cow that had a bull calf and from the day he was born you couldn't lay a hand on him, when penned in the yard he'd get up on the other cows back and jump out, eventually got him in with a handful of c+c , tagged, tested, skulled at the one time, he kept bouncing off the skulling gate and backing bar, bent the gate uprights about 7" on top and a 7" H iron holding the bar by 3", none of her calves before or after had any issues
