I am going looking at a Kangoo ze van next week after seeing them been discussed here. No experience with ev what so ever ,just want reliable run around doing 50km daily .I have night rate for charging .
The run of them are around 5-7k ex An Post on DD but looking at them a few weeks ,none seem to be shifting ,am i missing something?
They seem a basic ev with little estra's which suit me for getting a to b ,no haulage .The headache with diesel engine problems is pushing me to ev.
They have no long distance driving capability at all due to AC charging only but if that suits your use case, which seems to be the case, go for it.

While I wouldn't say the market is completely flooded with them, there's plenty of them around for sale and they're still going through the various auctions, if you're anywhere close to Wilsons/Merlin/Copart keep an eye on them and €2K should get you a half decent one.

My 2020 M3P was more a 400km car. this should be slightly more efficient being the revised MIC car etc but 500km would be a tough ask IMO.
I was looking into these recently and it looks like the 2021 M3P year specifically can have battery failure issues. I know the battery would be still under warranty here but it would be replaced with a refurbished battery which could have similar issues.
It doesn't make sense for Tesla to change the battery with another defective pack. What I actually read is that somebody got a new LG pack fitted when a Panasonic pack failed, which reduced their acceleration a bit but gave them way more range than before.
I’d be all over that if looking for a M3. I like the white interior but actually prefer the black because it’s more practical and there’s already plenty of light getting into the car to brighten it up.

2020 Etron 50 for a little under £13k, yes it the smaller battery and the lower spec but it is a lot of car, if it works for you.

Yes, fair lump of an EV for €15K if you don’t need big range. 22” upgrade/aftermarket wheels on it look pretty new. Pity about the Chinese ditch finder tyres though. Technik spec is pretty basic for an e-Tron but they come with lots of toys as standard anyway.
am I reading the dial on the left correctly on the Audi that it’s 149mi range and it’s at 100%?
Close, it looks around 95% SOC for me. Approx 240Km. Seems about right compared to EV Database. These are no way efficient.

If you pumped up the tyres you would get more range.

We're now nearing the halfway point in year 6,so not a million miles off .
An equivalent ICE as in a 2020 Audi Q5 Diesel would make close to €30K and probably have twice the mileage. In that context an early e-Tron is great value now but high risk due to motor/coolant leak issues.
similar money to some 2020 ID3’s or model 3’s.
Edit: I love that filter on EV Database for cost/km range. This 50 Quattro is 2nd only to the RS version of the eTron GT coupe for worst value Audi ever, when it was new 😂. €295/km.
For some perspective, a model 3 rwd or id3 Gtx are around €85/km, which is the best ‘value for range’ of any car for sale in Ireland.
Hi All, my parents are looking to buy their first EV - they do small mileage but are insisting that it has a range of 250km which rules out some options. They currently drive a 141 Polo which can be a bit low for getting in & out of so I need to check with them whether they want to get something a bit higher for that reason.
Assuming these cars qualify for no VRT, etc. (if these specific examples don't I'd look for something similar that does), are there any here that you would or wouldn't recommend:

It might be easier to ask them to set a budget and type of car they need, the getting in and out of would point to a small suv type. Do they have off street parking so they can charge easily?
Yeah, charging won't be an issue. Budget is as above €10-15k
Just beware a lot of these have English reg's so may not suit for export.
You should also possibly check out e-niro or kona for a bit of height.
