I absolutely hope that Boards keeps going for a long time, but feel better knowing there's enough lifeboats and life jackets in case of emergency.
Did they not make an announcement a while back that it was safe for at least another year or so? Obviously that could all change at the end of that timeframe but I'd hopeful of it limping along for considerably longer.
They did but there was also meant to be a update to Vanilla basic, a committee put together to work on saving the site and a night out for subscribers, none of which has happened yet.
yeah, looks fooked so!
I took advantage of the lovely weather yesterday & popped out to Malahide for a walk along the Coast Road & of course the beach. Couldn’t believe how deserted the beach was given the fine weather. Only saw two guys out fishing & a group of about four women on the whole beach. Took a pic of it.
Fab pic!
Congrats to the dubs @DvB! Louth not at the races today at all 😭😭😭
Didn't see a second of it, and surprised by the scoreline but will happily take it.
Didn't catch any of the football either, watched more snooker yesterday than I have in years. Two great games with plenty of drama in both.
My niece played in a camogie All-Ireland final yesterday, it was the B final, she plays for Westmeath U-16's and they lost to a stronger Kildare team in absolutely terrible weather in Birr. They really gave it their all and were shattered at the end.
Galway and Kilkenny drew in the A final.
I feel like I've watched 270 hours of snooker over the last few days. Maybe that's an accurate figure actually. 😂
Gutted for Mark Allen. Really wanted to see him in the final with Shaun Murphy.
Any of the 4 players could be the final after those semi's, feel that Higgins and in particular Allen lost rather than the other lads won the matches, but big pressure in those game.
You didnt miss much tbh. Louth struggled to get going from the get go 😭 Very disappointing as it's a poor reflection on how they can actually play. Just seemed to lack any fire in the belly
Anyone have a nice bank holiday Monday? Was meant to head over to Tallaght for the Rovers game but the Mrs talked me into powerwashing the patio & driveway so gave in & did that instead, took far longer than expected but it looks so much better now. Coming up on our wedding anniversary so brownie points are always useful too!!
Mad to think we're in May already. Only dawned on me last night we're away on our summer holidays next month!!
Nice way to get brownie points, I love power washing! We have a big anniversary and a milestone birthday for my better half next year so need to start planning for that. No bank holiday here but we did have our first missile attack (4 in total, 3 intercepted, one fell short, though another Emirate, Fujairah was hit by drones) in some time. So home schooling today with a full work load.
Ah no. Just when you think normality has resumed & all. Hopefully thats the last of it.
Hope all is well Jude, can't imagine how stressful it is
Busy weekend here between trying to get a few jobs done in the house & the various kids activities. Got some window boxes sorted so looking forward to some bright flowers in a few weeks.
@DvB Louth & Dublin to meet again in a few weeks - seems ridiculous to have to play the same team so soon. Hopefully it'll give Louth a kick up the you-know-what though, can't cope with a repeat of Saturday.
Ah no @Jude13, very stressful on everyone.Hope you're all doing okay.
Remember writing this thinking 234 days to go is ages away, doesn't feel that long ago now :)
The 200s are not lasting long
Ah Jude so sorry to hear that. Hopefully everything calms down soon.
Thank you for all the best wishes. Its all calmed down once Iran said they didnt do anything, they are usually only too happy to claim attacks. Refinery's were hit, almost like someone is trying to stoke the conflict again….
I am keeping it on a micro level, will my BA flights from here to Shannon via London actually leave! Direct flights to Dublin with Emirates are through the roof due to fuel prices.
What chance have the Dubs got this year? I am in Munich for the weekend of the Leinster game in Bilbao, I floated the idea of me heading there for the day but as its the day after a funeral I just got the death stare from the other half.
I have seen nice Christmas rugs on Temu for a hall entrance, has anyone gotten anything from them? How is the quality?
Dublin, maybe the provincial title, All Ireland = not a chance
My social media algorithm keeps showing me AI videos of Christmas nostalgic scenes and honestly it triggers such a warm fuzzy feeling in me.
Basically do or die tomorrow for Waterford in the Munster Championship 😬
I'm on tik tok a fair bit and same as yourself, the algorithm of it just sends on all kinds of Christmas videos to me.
A good example of the TikTok nostalgia I keep getting.
I like that, must remember to share it come Christmas Eve.
That is a lovely pic, Im not on tick tock or insta so this site is my source, keep them coming!
My tiktok is starting to feed me summerween content! I'm glad I'm into the two because I feel it stops Christmas creeping up too early for me.
