Avoiding Halal slaughter plants

Hi Folks,

Keep a few sucklers here in the south-east. I find the whole halal slaughter without stunning awful to stomach.

Apart from avoiding live exporting to countries where this happens. Does anyone know the plants where this is being done so I can avoid sending there.

A pal of mine has told me to not go to Ashbourne meats, anywhere else?

The issue with that is you are leaving out some markets for beef and some have the potential to be lucrative.

All the animal rights groups like RSPCA etc etc have been paid off and mysteriously focusing on dog ownership. Its like there was an agenda against the local population of sorts.

85% of halal meat in the UK is stunned first (I don’t know the Irish figure.

My point is, this would make more traction if people were calling for a ban of “stun free” meat.

The problem is that the majority of the people online (I’m not saying on this page) shouting for this don’t give two hoots about the animal welfare but are just adding more sectarian shite to a country that’s had enough of it over the years.

If a Rabbi or Iman wants to say a prayer over my steak than so be it

IIt's a bit more than saying a prayer, they don't want any animal with a sore hoof,a broken horn or detailed lambs. The meat is part of their belief system and how it's treated when alive, they use meat while celebrating their religious festivals

It is an animal welfare issue .
In this day and age , all livestock should be humanely killed .
Why are only 88per cent of animals killed via Halal actually stunned ? Why is it not 100 per cent .
And an even bigger issue is what is happening to the excess production if those who are insisting on Halal ( and Kosher ) are only eating the forequarters ? The obvious answer is that everyone is eating religiously slaughtered meat without even knowing it .
And that is appalling .

These religions ritually mutilate their infant boys; of course they don't concern themselves with the humane treatment of cattle.

If enforcing reasonable animal welfare standards closes certain export markets to our farmers, that's an acceptable cost imho.

Realistically we're over-producng beef and pork in Ireland anyway and if they can't sell to other markets that believe the animals we eat are entitled to high welfare standards and humane slaughtering, they can transition to other income streams.

Its much more than that!!!!! Halal is at tax (certification) at each stage of production (farmer, trucker, plant, shop). It is charged at 2.1%, see how that gains weight very quickly? Also a halal product cannot be next to a non halal product in a shop. There is also a confidentiality clause you cannot talk about it. Guess who is running this in Europe? no, it taxes time to filter down the system. The confidentiallity clause discourages you from discussing it, hence the secrecy. The farm is the origin but eventually it get there. A non halal product cannot be placed next to a non halal product in a shop.

You are not understanding the system. It is much more than a method of killing animals. It is a certification system. The Jizya need to be paid for it to be Halal certified. Halal is much more than a way of kiling, its a method of progressive taxation. It is for all food stuffs, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, eventually.

Way way way more complex than that. It covers all foods, medicines and medical devices. Its about certification. Its about control. "A man is three meals away from starving". You need to look at people who were in it and tried to leave. Its another tax you dont need.
