There's been a few preview trailers for Michael Jackson's upcoming biopic, but the first full trailer just dropped a little over an hour ago.
MICHAEL – in theaters & IMAX April 24, 2026. Starring Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, with Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo.
MICHAEL is the cinematic portrayal of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known. The film tells the story of Michael Jackson’s life beyond the music, tracing his journey from the discovery of his extraordinary talent as the lead of the Jackson Five, to the visionary artist whose creative ambition fueled a relentless pursuit to become the biggest entertainer in the world. Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, the film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.
MJ was a dirty rotten scoundrel in robbing each and every Dance move from Bob Fosse -

Your source is yourself and you are completely wrong.
For the avoidance of any doubt, here's a source who clears it up, you could have easily found this with a 'little research online'.
From the FBI themselves:
https://vault.fbi.gov/search?SearchableText=Michael+Jackson
There was no 2 10 year investigations!!
Ive no idea if MJ was a child trapped in a mans body or a pervert. But he is undoubtedly the greatest artist of all time.
Jimmy Saville was most definitely just a useless pervert.
Wondering why the greatest artist of all time has a biopic and a useless pervert doesnt, is a bit dumb really.
Jimmy Saville was absolutely huge. Nowhere near the raw talent of Michael Jackson but he was one of the UKs most well known celebrities of all time. A completely dated and irrelevant type of entertainment to people now, but very important to a lot of folks back in the day. Far from useless imo.
Absolutely no comparison.
Like comparing Maradona to a bin man.
Never said I was comparing them, I literally said Saville was nowhere near Jackson's talent in my post. Not sure how you missed something so obvious.
I was fixing your inaccurate post saying Saville was useless. When he literally wasn't, to millions of people.
If I wanted to compare them I'd have focused on them both being nonces.
why wasn’t he charged? Why not enough evidence found to even charge him? 10 years starting in 1993 and zilch.
You literally compared them. Read your post real slowly.
Jimmy Saville was nowhere near as iconic, influential or as big a part of the fabric of culture as Michael Jackson.
Wrexham are big and popular at the moment due to their owners, the Netflix show and their climb towards the premiership. Manchester United they are not
Maybe im in the minority in this thread, but I was young during MJ's peak. No one since has come close to that level of influence or fame. And for their sake, I hope they don't. Looking back, it was seriously unhealthy. For both him and the public
It's absolutely scandalous how some people completely ignore the ruling of the justice system.
The 2005 trial also covered the 1993 allegations. It wasn't just not guilty on all charges, it was an emphatic victory. The prosecutions case was farcical from the very beginning, it shouldn't have gone to trial imo.
We've already established it wasn't 10 years. I've provided a source which was the FBI itself and you still refuse to concede and try to peddle misinformation 😂
No it isn't. Do you always accept the rulings of Americas justice system? What about OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony? Do you accept that they're not guilty?
No it wasn't an 'emphatic victory' seeing as neither the trial or the verdict managed to convince the world he was innocent.
The media at the time tried to portray Michael as guilty, they still are.
Thankfully, some are calling out the movie critics. Fair play to Spike Lee.
You know, that thing this thread is supposed to be about.
just avoid the question - well done.
Why are you on this thread to just argue with people and have not seen the film or any intention of seeing it.
comparison to OJ trial has already been covered in this thread - go read it
Michael approaches half a billion $ global box office and still hasn’t opened yet in Japan or Korea.
Delighted it’s doing so well - great film.
I already answered the question in an earlier response.
Well done to yourself for ignoring the FBI source and still insisting these were 10 year investigations.
I watched a cam, it's just not a good movie at all unless you like his music.
Had he ever any love interests throughout the part of his life which the movie was based on? I'm not trying to stir the pot in terms of the allegations made against him, I appreciate that's been well argued over in this thread already.
I know he brought Brooke Shields to the Grammys back in the '80s, but as far as I know, until Lisa-Marie came on the scene in the '90s, there was never reports of him linked to anyone romantically.
I found it to be a very noticable absence from the movie. Many of these biopics focus on multiple sides of an artist's story to try show what molded them, including their relationships and in particular any romantic relationships.
I get the movie shows his isolation, his friends were animals, or his bodyguard, but I didn't feel it explained why he isolated himself, or didn't seek out human connection in the form of a relationship. For example, had it shown him having his heartbroken or betrayed by a partner, it would go some way to explain why he never sought genuine romance in his life again.
Vlad Makes Aries Spears Change His Mind on Michael Jackson Accusations (Part 10)
There's some real colourful language in the video, so I'm giving you a heads up. If Michael was what he was accused of, they would have found something. They found NOTHING!
Oh wow he changed his mind by telling him that all the porn they found was normal, how convenient that he didn't tell him about the naked books of boys made by pedophiles that were found.
I also think it's funny that they would say if you find a mans porn stash you would kind of know what he's into, you can probably also tell a lot if you found a mans bedroom and he had pics of women all over the wall and female mannequins and he had new women staying in his bed all the time people would think this guy is a bit of a womaniser and clearly is into some fucked up **** with those mannequins
But when it's pictures of kids, and little child mannequins in his bedroom and books of naked boys locked up in his safe and he is always hanging around with boys and has a new one when the last one gets a bit too old then people just say oh nothing to see here 🙄 Well some people, the rest of us can see what's blindingly obvious.
Sure, Stretch Armstrong.
One of Michael's alleged victims, some would have you believe. Including the fraudsters Wade and James.
@sligeach
It's only a stretch for those who are absolutely committed to ignoring the obvious. Serious mental gymnastics needed for you there. You wouldn't think if was a stretch if it was the local school principal or boy scout leader or football coach.
Defenders were quoting the Cascios up until relatively recently!!
"Defenders were quoting the Cascios up until relatively recently!!"
If you seriously believe the Cascio's, or anyone does for that matter, then I give up on this world. It's so clearly blackmail and extortion.
I assure you I feel the same way but even more strongly about giving up on the world when there's people who can look at MJs relationships with boys and say that he wasn't a pedophile.
….
The Cascio's were far more convincing in their defence of Michael , than they are in their allegations against him. It's a strange story, to turn on his legacy, if they just wanted to speak , they can freely , but they want 200m to not speak

The sister '' when brother saw Neverland Documentary and said it's true, I was shocked, gobsmacked, I nearly fell out of my chair''
Did he do anything to you '' Yea ''
Then what was the whole shock about, when the brother spoke , why were you so so shocked. .. if it happened to you too, there would be no shock, just an admission that you are not shocked and that it happened to you too.
I find that strange
Mod note: This thread is just going around in circles now. Please: no more discussion of the allegations around Michael Jackson, unless it’s specifically related to the content / approach of the film. Please let’s get back to the film itself, thanks.
I don't think there was any major heartbreak or betrayal by a partner.
I skimmed some of the book with the recordings with the Rabbi and he said women don't like to play so if he found one like that that would be the dream, and that they always like to be the centre of attention and are jealous of the kids, but he just comes across as a massive misogynist. He talks about how manipulative women are and how they have taken down such good men, and points to bible stories for examples, he said they have taken the most powerful men down to nothing because of what's between their legs, he blamed Monica Lewinsky for causing so much damage to Bill Clinton. He said he doesn't judge men who are unfaithful because women can do a lot of things that make men unhappy and he saw it with his brothers wives and that they were more into money etc.
Now obviously this was recorded later in life and maybe his views weren't as strong when he was younger but The Rabbi said he seemed to start to form this view as a kid witnessing his sister in laws and he said watching women at the strip clubs seducing men could have made him lose respect for women and see them as sleazy etc the way some men who watch porn have no respect for women.
With the way he likes to whine about everyone and the way he talks about women in the book I don't think he'd have an issue with sharing if he had got his heart broken or some betrayal at a younger age.
It's all so misogynistic, but it would have made a far more interesting movie 😅
This film - as a film - is banging. Seen it twice already. Reminds me a lot of "Purple Rain", also dissed on original release.
Hasn't even opened in Asia which will likely push it over the $1bn final tally.
