Round 1
Best of 19 Frames
Mad the way he kept trying to use side to get out of that snooker behind the pink, was never going to work.
Wu is playing awful today.
4-0 to Murphy in the half session. We have a match on our hands.
Even the ref has made a 139 break
Wu is making this easy for Shaun.
Don't count out wu yet
Badly needed for Wu.
Exactly what I was going to say. First frame won today.
Should they fit in an odd numbered first session the earlier rounds? Its nice that a session finishes with someone having to have a lead. Changes the dynamic slightly.
Wu's found his mojo, despite the nightmare session he could still lead into tonight.
What's the numbers on the bottom of the table for?
This?
If so its table temperature monitor.
Fair play to Wu regaining the lead. You wouldn't have seen that coming after the first 5 frames today.
Wu back in front, can't wait for tonight.
Haven't had a final frame decider since 2002.
Somehow this Championship would have to end with a dramatic finish.
I liked John Parrott's response when Hazel asked him at the end who he thinks will win tonight.
"Oh Hazel, just tune in and watch. That's all you gotta do. Please. Honestly, I'm covered in splinters, sitting on the fence. Why ask me that question? Let's just see it unfold."
Murphy would have taken that scoreline before the session but yet has to be disappointed
mid session interval saved Wu
Shaun giving too many chances here
Excellent start from Wu in the opening frame of this evening's session.
This break off could cost Shaun a world championship ?
I would say it was more the poor start at the start of the match Murphy had that he could regret. He could have won all of the first 3 he lost.
Murphy stops the rot with an 82
Wu has got his eye in again.
Gwan, young fella!!
Ah ffs!!
T
Are people generally up for Murphy in Ireland ?
Murphy's plan to leave Wu the long tempter and he's not knocking them in as usual, we'll see .
That’s a dangerous question on boards.ie. But I would say given the fact he used to live in Ireland and his former wife was Irish - I would guess yes. But only those with a strong interest in snooker. And are not diehard Ronnie fans.
I noticed too that Murphy is wearing the more traditional snooker waistcoat and white shirt. When he last won in 2005 . He wore the same simple black waistcoat, white shirt. I wonder was that why ?
I want to. Find him hard to like. Nothing to do with him being English.
