Selling old car advice

Leaving the country so we are getting rid of the cars. The newer car is grand, its a couple of years old, low mileage and will be easy to tell but I'm unsure what to do with car number 2.

It's a 2015 Hyundai i40 automatic, the high end model. 115,000 miles. 2 owners including me. NCT up to July. I actually love the car, its never given me an ounce of trouble and runs like a dream but sadly I have to get rid of it.

Question is how? I dont really fancy the hassle of private sale given the age etc and the scammers, it may not be worth it for the price? Do dealers buy cars that old? Is their a market for it?

You have 2 choices.

1/. Sell privately.

2/. Sell to a trader.

Choose private for a potentially higher price and an element of hassle. Plenty of advice on this page about minimising it.

Your car is still quite sellable btw.

If u live in a rural area the local garage might like to buy .it's too old for likes of zucar / bigger outfits

Facebook marketplace it, give it’s quick wash and quick hoover and get it gone.

I'd be more concerned about selling the 2 year old car. That won't be easy to sell. The Hyundai will be much easier

Get a reputable dealer to sell the newer car on your behalf unless they give u a great straight buy offer

Maybe you could throw the Hyundai in for an early NCT. You'd have the phone hopping if priced low with a full test on it.
