Dawn Chorus Dinner.
Veg Kiev, Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash Rosti, Veggie Burger and bits.
Hot smoked peppered salmon salad.
Thanks a lot igCorcaigh 😊.
You're definitely right, there is something about not enjoying your own food as much someone that was handed a meal. I interigate everyone around me about my cooking & I'm usually the only one that thinks there's something missing or it's lacking in some way.
Though this time - feedback agreed & said it was bland 😃.
I used a rotisserie chicken & while it was lovely & soft, I think in future I'll cut up fresh chicken & season it well. Probably will use brown onion instead of shallots aswel. The flavour of shallots was lost in the mix.. More seasoning in the ricotta too.. And I'll have to think about the sun-dried tomatoes, they were just a cheap jar I grabbed for this dish so maybe they didn't have much flavour
No-cheese veggie pizza ready to go.
Roast chicken, mash, tenderstem broccoli, carrots and plenty of gravy.
Looking forward to leftovers for tomorrows dinner. 😋🤤
Meh 🤷♂️. Seeded soda bread is amazing with cheese though.
Fish and chips. And obligatory tinned peas.
Salmon with potato, broccoli, peas and mandatory LGM chilli crisp.
Poor man's Pear Condé. Tinned rice and tinned pears, but it was very tasty.
Chorizo pizza.
Curry cheese chips and veggie burgers.
Skewered fresh tuna and salad.
jayz, every one of you on this thread cook like chefs and eat like kings. well done!
😛 I'm not jealous, yer jealous. 😁
Burgers and roasted onion and olives.
Ain't nobody gots to be jealous of my 40/60 cooking.
40% lovely, 60% sh!t 🚮 😅
I have a Tesco pizza: ham, mushroom, mascarpone. That'll do, with some rocket, Grana Padano, chilli flakes and fresh tomato.
Meanwhile, I have a big pot of soup on the hob…
…chicken thighs, carrot, celery, courgette, peas, corn, spinach, turnip, tomato puree and canned cherry tomatoes, shiitakes, farro, small strip of kelp for the iodine, smoked paprika, and dried basil.
Soup? That's very unlike you!
McDonald's this evening. Pic not necessary, but it was a double cheeseburger medium meal and shared nuggies.
Balance is key, sometimes I feel like cooking, sometimes a Maccie Ds is what I crave. Always feel like cr*p after it, but it never stops me.
Beetroot and potato soup. Garlic bread.
I would enjoy your lovely meals any day of the week :D
Veg Kiev and garlic/cheese chips.
Steak burger, mash, tenderstem broccoli and mushroom sauce. The broccoli was awful, in fairness it was well past it's prime, based on how yellow it was. I didn't eat it. Everything else was just meh, I can't say I particularly enjoyed the meal.
That's a pity.. I'd have ditched the broccolli aswel but the rest looks super tasty 👀
@thesandeman I approve of how much sauce you put on your chip 👌😁
I mean, it was very tasty. The burger was well cooked, the sauce was creamy and peppery and the mash was lovely and buttery. I think I just let the broccoli cloud my opinion. My OH ate the whole lot, including the broccoli, so what do I know!🤣
Pizza. For a change.
Smoked mackerel, potatoes, corn, jarred red pepper. Obligatory hot sauce.
Those Lidl potatoes were not the freshest at all! Wasn't fond of the corn either, but the mackerel and peppers were good.
As soon as I feel broccoli of any sort is pushing it's way to limp it's like my nose goes on alert for a kind of ammonia smell and like yourself it ruins it
I got given a cheese and onion toastie in the pub today which ruined my appetite so just pesto and parmesan potato salad with seeded soda and a few cheeses tonight.
I hope this isn't my downfall into eating more than once a day 😟.
Steak & chips here this eve. I wasn't in any humour to cook at all, so ordered the chips (and a biscoff McFlurry) from Maccie D's.
Hit the spot.
