That happened with easter break and they did like 20 people in one week. I'd say they will call everyone from 4.6 in the next week or so.
If you are on that side of the City it could be good. Mount Street is major refugee processing hub. Burn out, all to do with moving cases.
Mount Street is all moving to Citywest
Is that all of the IPO on lower Mount Street? 😮 I always got the impression Citywest was just a temporary hub but it seems many of DOJ's main buildings are moving around. Loads of them in my old unit moved from Burgh Quay to Chapter House. (not a massive change but still!)
Ye thats the one, It was temporary until Citywest hotel was bought by the state.
I would hate Justice/IPO. Citywest would be a nightmare for me also. Is there any way of seeking another assignment from Public Jobs? Haven't been interviewed yet but still.
Once you get an offer you either take it or you are taken off the panel. Worse case scenario you take it and then in two years go on the mobility list. There are worse departments to get.
I’ve spoken to a few people from this comp and Justice appears to be taking a lot of HEO’s. Best of luck to everyone in their new roles.
Think I'd just withdraw so. Life's too short to be miserable in an awful work environment and there'll be another competition coming around soon enough.
Honestly Justice isn't the worst, it just really depends on where you end up as it's a huge department; immigration, the courts, prison services etc. they all have interesting areas and I found the people to be the best part of it. ISD were undergoing a massive digital modernization change during my time there so hopefully they'll avail of more hybrid/WFH days.
You take it or leave it sort of way. I dont think they will be interviewing any more people from this competition.
Guy in PAS told me as much. Only hope is if Unions push the matter.
They will do another competition with some other stupid test that doesnt make any sense.
Other than Justice, what other departments are taking people?
Havent heard of many others
Intreo is the latest one I heard people being placed in .
any movement this week?
So I heard that reception in the IPO is moving to City West, but not the whole building. Also heard that after a recent EOI, all positions were filled at City West, so it sounds unlikely that anyone would be forced to go there.
how many people get called per batch? Or do they place all in 4.6 and then move onto 4.7
Thank you for the update :) Still haven't heard where I am going.
4 people called in batch 4.6
Is there a 4.7 ?
Yes each batch is placed in full and then they move on to the next batch.
ooooh let’s go!
Hopefully more people get called to interview once they are finished with the current batches 🤞
Did the vetting process take long?
Hi, is this 4 people called since last week? I've lost track of the numbers!
Four people in total from batch 4.6 called, last week they finished batch 4.5
Colleague of mine awaiting interview emailed them they said with 7 weeks left it is unlikey they will interview any more.
Did you hear anything?:) Waiting myself! It’s a longgg process
