great information there. “The Witness” in the linked article was interviewed on October 1st, is there anyway to tell who was interviewed that day? A witness to the “significant event “ in Summer 1995 (the introduction?) would narrow it down. 3 of the 4 present now deceased.
There’s not many on that list would have all that information back at the time of the initial investigation, but I suppose it’s common knowledge now with all books, films, podcasts and newspaper articles. Interesting that they were asked for DNA sample.

It's crazy, every time there is some witnesses and names floated around regarding this case, there is always a handful that I never heard of before even though I'd consider myself high enough on the list of knowledgeable people about the case, as are most of the rest of us on here. Even 30 years later things still coming to light, I do truly hope something comes of all of this cold case investigation.

It's a hit-piece on the DPP. Don't question the inaccuracy, bias and lack of anything regarding the guards involvement in bribing witnesses and cutting pages from job books. Mark John Maguire deletes your comments.
You will note a lack of comments under that video from those challenging his video and conclusions. It wasn't just mine deleted by him either. He only wants comments that gush about how great he is.
Go on then I`ll humour you. Who do you allege was bribed and for what purpose?

I succumbed and started to watch that drivel. I only got 10 mins in and found Mr Mark John Maguire had:

The sad part is, there are enough gullible people out there that believe people like this Maguire, and Michael Sheridan and Nick Foster and Senan Molony.
So that`s kinda like how the lad on Youtube wouldn`t engage with you then.
I read about half of Moloney`s book. I will finish it eventually. There wasn`t anything particularly new. However it was interesting to discover that Bailey had been in Kennedy`s over the Christmas period borrowing bleach. That would have likely been after he bought bleach in the shop on Christmas Eve. He was obviously in the clean up groove. And him a fella who was notoriously useless around the house.
If that's what you wish to believe merely on the basis that I did not need you to humour me, go for it. Not sure of the connection as it only makes sense in your head, but whatever floats yer boat!
It's the usual. Immediately focuses on Bailey, nothing about the other persons of interest, dodgy witnesses, dodgy investigation etc. But has the added bonus of dismissing the DPP as it is obviously too difficult for him to challenge their reasoning for not charging Bailey. I have noticed this is a relatively new tack.

He bought one bottle and possibly borrowed one, and? He had a saw blade replaced at the shop at the same time he bought the bleach, did he cut up a body with it?
Why did he not pick up the bleach the FIRST time at the shop when he dropped the saw off for the blade to be replaced if it was important for some reason to have bleach? He picked the bleach up when collecting the saw.
If you've had to slaughter a turkey, you probably need to scrub and bleach the surfaces of cutting boards and knives.
I've never done it (shudder) so I don't know really. But if I'm handling raw meat or bloody items like liver, I definitely need to thoroughly disinfect afterwards.
You`d be cleaning up straight away surely and not a couple of days later? The problem with cleaning up after a murder is that you would need to get your head around what you`d done and be covert with any clean up. It wouldn`t have been immediate. Anyway, based on media reports on what is being considered by the cold case team, it now looks like the timing of some of these events may be under review.

No, he ran out of time, Alfie was up and about as he was about to cut the body up with the axe that he killed her with. So he chucked the axe over the garden fence into the neighbours garden.
Then he went to the same neighbour to borrow some bleach to soak his bloody coat in back in the the cottage in full view of everyone there. (6 people I believe)
Then he lit a bonfire 20 yards from the same neighbours to burn the evidence !
You couldn't make it up….. oh wait!
Martin Graham was allegedly given marjuana by Gardaí in an attempt to get him to befriend Ian Bailey and extract a confession from him.
Guessing that's what was being referred to. Like much about this case it's impossible to know what truly happened.
...and after he burned the bleached coat to a crisp, the gardai took it from him intact and put it into evidence and to-date found nothing on it relating to the murder. Hmm 🤔

So Bailey is no expert on saw blades, and?
The point is that Bailey was in sooo much of a hurry to obtain bleach, that he didn't get any on his very FIRST visit to the shop.
So you think his thoughts were, ooh I need bleach to cover up a murder, while I'm covering up the murder, I might as well get my saw blade replaced too, right?

Allegedly Det. Jim Fitzgerald contacted Senator Peter Callanan, who then contacted John Deasy, a West Cork manager.
Farrell said that Fitzgerald had introduced her and Chris to Callanan and that Fitzgerald told them Callanan owed him a favour.
She later sold the house for €500,000, clearing a nice €350,000 profit. Not bad for being a star witness eh?
You’re right the Gardai pulled a few strings to coerce her, but in fairness it’s unlikely they made 350k after building costs and the Council clawback, about 150k I believe. But they did alright in Schull.

I think you`ve missed the point.
Bailey was smart enough to make sure his trip to the shop didn`t look like it was primarily about buying bleach, even though it really was. He bought bleach, he borrowed bleach and lit a bonfire that burned clothing and footwear, all in the days following the murder.
But what did he DO with all this bleach? What was it for? And why did the household full of Christmas guests not notice the violent smell of bleach?

Ok. Now we`re getting somewhere. This is what you consider to be bribery. So show me the bank a/c from whence the 350k originates and then show me how the owner of that bank a/c benefitted from Farrell coming forward to implicate Bailey.

He was attempting to cover up a murder, so it wouldn`t have happened in the house.
What else would you call a Detective being directly involved in Farrell obtaining council land for €1000?
As for the rest, it is public record that Farrell cleared €350,000 from the sale of the home after clawback of €120,000 to €130,000 owed to the council for selling early, breaking planning regs.
Farrell benefitted from implicating Bailey. Do you believe that bribery is only when somebody hands over an envelope of cash?
